A few days ago anyone sugesting thst ms can make changes like clock speed and ram amounts was knocked down with a myrad of reasins why. Now there is a rumor sony is going to increase clocks... I dunnk whats with all the double standards as of late

I think it has always been like this. People on most gaming forums generally react more positively regarding good news for the Playstation brand and bad news for Xbox brand, yet react more negatively to bad news for the Playstation brand and good news for the Xbox brand.

There is a very skeptical tone where it concerns anything relating to Microsoft and Xbox. It may just be Microsoft, period. The only thing that has beaten this kind of thing back over the last few years is the monthly sales threads for North America.

Hard to message effectively when there's a monthly kick in the pants in the form of hardware and software sales. Playstation move was very highly regarded on gaming forums, whereas Kinect was highly mocked, and yet the sales went to, you guessed it, Kinect.

If it's true it's because they are getting high quality chips and they can not as any sort of "pre-emptive strike" against something that at this moment in time is nothing more than a fanboy wet dream.

It seems like the CPU and GPU clocks are being potentially increased to 2.0 GHZ and 1.0 GHZ.

Even at 1.8 GHZ and 900 mhz it's a decent leap.
