Im thinking 36CUs. If BC1 is 18CU, then BC2 cannot be 40CU but 36.

2.0GHZ is also a bit too high for 40CU part IMO, but lets wait and see. I do think they put them selves into 9-10TF territory by opting for 256bit bus.

If MS truly went for 320bit bus, they did so that they can react to any sudden requirements regarding competition.

If Sony goes with 36CU - 9.2TF and 16Gbps chips on 256bit bus, they can go with 14Gbps chips and get 560GB/s. If Sony uses fastest chips on market - 18Gbps to get 576GB/s, they can go for 16Gbps and get 640GB/s.

I think 320 is there for headroom.

The devkit has all 40CUs enabled. I was told by a single source that retail machine is 36CUs active, but it doesn't match up with the overwhelming evidence that the retail PS5 is over 10TF.

Sony usually has the devkits at the same configuration as their retail.

Interesting; unrelated data points but 4Pro was 40CU - 4 for retail. Scorpio 44 CU - 4 for retail.

And if what you say is true then; indirectly it is 4 Shader Engines again?

Whatever the shader engine setup of Navi 10. Should be 2? 64 ROPs.

RTX 2080TI is $999 MSRP.
Retail PS5 is 2080 level.
I don't know whether or not the actual perfs be 1 to 1 with RTX series but those words will be thrown around by Sony + MS + devs.
If retail PS5 is 2080 level,

what is actual performance of devkits compared to Nvdia GPU?

And how about ray-tracing performance compared to NVidia GPU?

How much RAM can be used by games?

Ment 1000$ ofc :) Most thought ps5 would be 1070/80 at max, so 2080 atleast is a nice thing to hear. 2080ti for MS then.

Now let’s hope they won’t cost over 600$. Do you happen to have facts about pricing too? What about ram, rt solution etc?

Dante XDK is around 2080TI, retail will be lower.

Caveat for these RTX 20 comparisons, these are ballpark figures for base chips at stock clocks, i.e. 9TF 2080 and 11.5TF 2080TI.

Important caveat, because these cards regularly boost ~10% higher then what Nvidia says making them effectively 1 step higher tier in terms of performance.

Then this post and your couple of previous ones aren't speculation, they're baseless rumors and should be in the appropriate thread.
