My incredibly wrong theory on what the "revolution&quot

well i dunno about vr its not just about the viser . YOu need a system to put you into it , a controler will feel out of place . Though i guess a really nice visor with a high res lcd to put out hdtv images would't be back. but you'd need a way to drive 4 of those ... ouch

A control pad in VR wouldn't be ideal, but it could still be an amazing experience. Imagine a VR visor with a built in gyroscope! Just having the ability to move your head and have the game react accordingly by changing your view would be just.. well I don't have words for how great that would be! :) A simple controller, again with a built in gyroscope, would be fine to control the game. As you say multiplayer in the same room would be a problem in a lot of games (games were each player would usually have a slightly different, or completely different view of the action). But it would be fine for some games. Also for those other games perhaps multiplayer in the same room would only be possible with two Revolution consoles.. good reason for having wifi built in :) Also a good reason for agressively embracing online gaming all of the sudden.. I'm going to have to stop now before I get my hopes up :)

Uh cheap to include with a $200+ console? If that were the case you'd see LCDs on controllers bundled with consoles for next generation which you won't.

You don't know that yet. Even so, if Nintendo goes with the expected price of $300 for next gen, with Gamecube like cost of this generation for the next, they have quite abit to spend on LCD or what ever other technologies they wished to bundle with the controller. Beside small LCDs are cheap.

But with Gameboy or DS connectivity and online, LCD on controller maybe redundant. But they had some games with LCD controller requirement this gen, maybe Nintendo will make it standard for revolution.
