Good lord, 1st person looks decidedly difficult and amazingly cool!
Here's hoping for more mud effects! Hehe.
There is still one thing missing. The camera moving slightly independently as if you are watching from the driver's eyes just like the target render.

This was quite annoying while watching the shaky-cams and such. You would have thought game reviewers would be better at videogames
.Sometimes though, this game acts rather weird. For instance, I remember there was one video where the guy on a bike went onto the ramp and just blew up for no reason. The guy playing was like "ah??!?" and they were Swedish or something. I don't remember which video this was, but I think this sort of thing (spontaneous blowing up...) happens quite often in the videos available for this game.

Exceeding the boost meter. That's the thing in the lower left. It flashes, then BOOM. The crashing is down to poor drivers. You can see it with the racing lines some of these guys are taking. Going into a turn too tight, hitting the gas too early, boosting into the braking zone...just one embarassing video after another. The game is also a bit too fast in parts, and the cars just can't seem to get traction. I think you'd see more tactical driving from more experienced players. No it's because the players are over using the boost meter causing the vehicle to explode.

Well I just played motorstorm
I just played the motorstorm demo at the local best buy. It was pretty fun. PS 3 was hooked up with HDMI to the 23" ?? display at 720P of course. Played very smooth and looked good as well. They had a demo of the genji game, and some other trailers. Im hoping that motorstorm demo is avaliable for play on friday =).

Motorstorm seems to be the second videogame that looks like CGI-quality to me(1st is gears).
Definately looking forward to that, hopefully it's an updated build.

Me too. The demo I played has some issues.....slowdown the biggest one, The crowd isn't animated, they just stand there. Would like to see the helicopter take off and maybe an ambulance drive on the track(during a race) and first person mode is almost unplayable.
The game is still really fun and still a day one purchase for me.
