Motorstorm screens

The sense of game lacking in speed might be due to there not being defined roadsides and close to roadside tall objects that would whizz by as in games that are set in more narrow "canyons".
The camera also has a lot to do with the sense of speed, the wider the view angle, the lower the sense of speed.
Well there's a very defined trail with mountains and lodges whizzing by you but it feels like you're just coasting over the sand and dirt and ramps.

You can expect more intelligent AI, which gets more brutal as the difficulty increases; a broader sense of contrast between stages, especially with the new lighting conditions; a refined and beautiful menu system; more speed and an incredible new vehicle select system. The 'death camera' system is being overhauled too so that players can enjoy their devastation to the full.

t's also worth remembering that on PS3, games continue to improve 'beyond the box' due to downloadable content and for MotorStorm, think bigger than just a few more cars and tracks, so the concept of 'final game' no longer really exists.

I doubt many people would flag this...
a refined and beautiful menu system
but it's something I'm pleased for. Like the WKS interface, I want slick UIs now rather than a bunch of buttons or coloured text menus over a background.
 
Nice, they really sped the game up esp the boosting. Also it seems the ground got more detail ( hard to see in the low-res video). Too bad the videos do not show much hassle with the other vehicles, because I love those crashes.
Overall great looking as ever, I really like to play this.

Oh dear... oh dear oh dear oh dear... Please Mr Sony don't turn Playstation games into PC-style patch-a-thons...
 
I love the moving flags in the background now. And the fire boost is a nice extra touch. Speed looks better too. Man this team works very hard it seems. They get upgrades done fast.
 
I didn't see this game on the launch window list released yesterday so I take it the March release date provided by EB is accurate?
 
Looking like a very nice game now, decent speed and the graphics (quality + interaction) are definately good enough for a a launch title. And the gameplay concept in general sounds like a lot of fun.
 
WOW! Looks fantastic! Is this single player? The A.I. seems to take track shortcuts! :)

Hope the games out before March. :(

Hopefully Bugbear(Flatout) are taking notes and maybe we'll see a similar PC/360/Wii version.
 
this game looks great... should be a real system seller with the online play... :cool:

Now that you mention that, I wonder if the demo will be online MP or SP (with maybe offline MP?)...guess we will find out in about a months time.

WOW did anybody catch the "donor cycle" video? that was awesome when the bike fell off the cliff only to be connected with the front of another vehicle. :LOL: :D
