Microsoft press conference

All consoles are launched by then. But I agree it's going to be timed exclusive, but it's still a big announcement

Neither the PS3 nor Wii have a release date prior to October 16, 2006.

PS3 US launch = November 17.
No date has been given for the Wii.

GTA is 2007? For a sec I thought it was 2006! 07 would make more sense, it would also make it a 'proper' time exclusive rather than a default one.

"So what's the most dramatic thing we could do to take Live to the next level? " Connect users. Consider that there are 230 miilion Windows gamers and 1 billion game ready cellphones." Announces Live Anywhere, will be built into the Windows Vista.

Just a matter of time i suppose...

But you were so sure just a second ago:

NOT EXCLUSIVE.

That is confirmed.

It will be out on the 360 first since it will be the only console out when the game launches, but there is no exclusivity deal. PS3 version will certainly come when the PS3 launches.

There is 360 exclusive DLC content though, as was mentioned earlier.

:p

He's been working out.

I'm willing to give Fable 2 some love.

Just about the only Xbox game I played that wasn't sports or a FPS. I'd certainly be buying Fable 2 at some point.

MS is certainly pushing all their weight behind the X360. Sony just can't compete with the Windows empire...

This Live anywhere thing sounds interesting. Gamertags will be ubiquitous across platforms, you can voice chat across platforms now as well while playing different games ( i think). Unified marketplace ?!

EDIT: Buy content once, available on all platofrms. Buy Zuma on Xbox 360 and have access to it on mobile phone -- one Marketplace. Gamercard integrated into mobile phone.

No GTA exclusive, not timed even.

I imagine it would take alot of cash! :D

I've been wondering since the X360 was announced if it'd be more economical for them to just buy Take Two (or even better.. EA Sports) exclusivity than it is to just lose 4B dollars.

Then again, since I've never been able to determine how much profit Take Two made off of GTA (for PS) or EA off of EA Sports (for PS2), it's kinda hard to tell much money MS would have to pay for the exclusivity to 'make up' the difference.

Read somewhere that even with the Xbox and PC versions, Take Two made at least 70-80% of the money from GTA from the PS2 version.

With 360 most likely having a larger userbase by then, what's your take on this Titanio?

Fable was fun. It'd be really great if fable 2 could end up being what fable 1 was supposed to have been. Not really into GTA myself, but I wouldn't mind seeing halo3.

With Vista integration, Sony just got ran over on the Online portion of things.

From a user standpoint, this is the ultimate in convenience.
