Microsoft acquired Activision Blizzard King for $69 Billion on 2023-10-13

Xbox is a console device, so if they support that then console is covered in the any device. They never said any and all devices.
I am using the quote from your post above which reads "anytime and on any device" Are you seriously arguing that a PS4, PS5 and Nintendo Switch do not fit the description of "any device?"

If so, don't bother replying, I'm not debating something so fucking ridiculous. I do wonder what it is about XCloud that requires Microsoft Edge and cannot be supported on other browsers.

Either way this will be my last response to you as you seem to have issues, today at the very least.

I categorised device as being the type.
Therefore all devices means all device types not all products within the device category.

I apologise, I did have a very shitty day yesterday. I still disagree though!!! :yep2: If they mean consoles - but not all consoles - then they could have gone with "any type of device".

Or my Etch A Sketch, fck Etch A Sketch. :p

bro , etch a sketch is the best platform. It's limited only by your imagination. You could draw each and every frame of starfield and enjoy the game experiance. It would take me like 40 hours per frame and look like 3 year old did it. But still

I am sure MS would be very happy to offer xcloud on PlayStation as soon as Sony offers a web browser. Microsoft was more than happy to support xcloud on steam deck and on google chrome devices and fire sticks / fire tablets . Those are all competitors with MS.
I don't think it's browser.
It comes down to allowance. MS would be more than willing to bend over back to get xcloud onto Switch than they would over PS5. PS5 and PC and Xbox all compete in the home space. But that Steam/Switch space is a huge user group that doesn't have access to AAA type games. MS would do anything to get onto Switch if they could. Nintendo is just saying no at the moment.

Do switch owners not have phones or tablets? I would imagine the amount of kids that own a switch and not a tablet or phone is tiny. I am sure MS would love to have xcloud on any device if they don't have to give ups 30% of the subs price to that company. That is why they would perfer to offer it on a web browser . So if switch 2 had a browser I am sure MS will be there with xcloud ready

A portable gaming device built with physical controls as one of the design parameters is still going to be a much nicer experience to play AAA type games on than a phone, even one with generally bulky physical control adapters slapped on it.

Honestly I have found the physical control adapters slapped onto the switch to be a bad play experience vs some of those bulky phone controllers

The switch is a very weird device for xcloud considering it doesn't have a dedicated connection and the wifi is appalling. I also think when the switch 2 hits nintendo will want to reap money from all the past games that released on ps4/xbox one and pc games that weren't viable on switch 1. I am sure nintendo would rather get 30% off all those games vs 30% off xcloud subs that signed up on the switch.

I think that's part fo the reason why we haven't seen massive spreading of xcloud. They can't afford to lose any margin than they already claim as it is. The likelihood we would see it on other platforms would be a strong indicator that the cost of the program has dropped enough to spare that margin to their competitors. They just aren't there yet.

I am not sure about that. If you think about it xcloud only officially launched Sept of 2020. I believe game pass subscribers are over 25m correct ? That is a lot of growth in a small time frame. Who knows if they are able to keep up with the demand of rolling out more xcloud servers while producing enough series x's to meet demand. We know there are component shortages so MS may actually prefer slower growth and are launching on platforms where they don't have to give a cut of money to other companies.

If anything Xcloud is in a growth and expansion phase of MS's business plan. Their primary concern isn't going to be centered around margins.

Brazil has approved the deal.
"Furthermore, it is important to highlight that CADE's main objective is to defend competition as a way to promote the well-being of Brazilian consumers, and not to defend the particular interests of specific competitors. given that the holder of the legal assets protected by Law nº 12.529/2011 is the community, and not the competitor/economic agent as an individual. the Xbox in case Activision Blizzard games - and especially Call of Duty - become exclusive to the Microsoft ecosystem, SG/Cade does not believe that this possibility represents, in itself, a risk to competition in the console market as a whole. "

This report, or at least what is available to us, offers a lot more specificity and nuance than I thought we'd be able to see.
Many regions will publish their ruing and include a fairly detailed report of their findings and decision. The US dos not, but that's atypical globally.

From my limited knowledge of brazil's game market I would think something like xcloud and the different models of xbox would drive the average cost of gaming down for a subscriber
Yeah, owning actual gaming hardware in Brazil is expensive. It's not a typical market, everything costs monkey-fuck-ridiculous dollars.
