Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain & Ground Zeroes

I went full Rambo on a mission last night. Forget stealth, I used a sniper rifle from a high vantage point and bought a better automatic rifle mid mission with a drop. It was much easier to gather resources with everyone dead. ;)

I want to call in a air strike next time.

Yes, but this is the first game to actually justify stealth playthroughs. You need those high level guys on your motherbase to make more awesome stuff. A rambo like me has learnt the joys of non lethal plans through this game !

Ok so I just played the opening level. What the fuck? No, seriously, what the fuck?

Actually, 'what the fuck' doesn't do my confusion justice right now. :nope:
Thats when my niece declared : Kojima has gone mad ! " and we smiled like the joker  !
Welcome to Afghanistan, dood, get your Horse saddled up cos no one knows what lies ahead !

I am still having fun with the side missions, still not going for main story :p ! Hope I do soon !

I'm really enjoying the first Afghanistan mission. I believed my recon of the first town was pretty thorough so I was expecting only 4-5 soldiers there. I spent a satisfying 5-10 minutes edging round the perimeter and taking them out and, just to be safe, I thought I'd dump the bodies inside out of sight from any roaming patrols and walked right into some dude. Then everything went bad.

Next time will be better! I can't believe my suppressed rifle doesn't have a scope, though.

Spoiler free question: is it possible to customize the HUD (remove crosshair, marked enemies through walls, interaction prompt, weapon/time icons, etc...) like in Ground Zeroes?

Everything that's in GZ is souped up here....so must be there...I personally haven't checked. But everything is improved and the game itself is something else when compared to the small corridor s of GZ.

Btw, the game is so ...I dunno....flexible ! Went to do a side mission and ended up in a boss battle and found ..well...someone :D ! My oh my, don't want to Spoil ppls fun !

Only done the first mission in Afghanistan after the prologue. Haven't got the fultron yet.
If I kill most of the enemies in the first area, will they respawn later and will I be able to return there so that I can fultron them to the base, or have I lost them forever?
I guess they are pretty low level soldiers anyway, so it would not really matter.

Yeah I wondered about it too: do enemies respawn ad infinitum or once you have killed them, during a mission or in free roam, they are gone forever?!

Perhaps NPC, the ones with special abilities/stats, are unique so if you kill them they are gone for good or perhaps they are randomly generated so you can't never run out of possible new useful recruits.

I am not sure, but I think they will be there if you re-do the mission. If you've already fultoned them, they are probably swapped out by lesser soldiers. That's my guess...?

BTW; I think this game looks absolutely stunning. The desert is a sight to behold. And all that at fluid 60fps. I love it. Just incredible.

What!!!!!! Don't spoil but I have played till mission 11 in story and lots of side Ops, is this after that?
its mission 5 or 6 or 7.

the checkpoint is too far apart and I keep getting killed. finally I win by calling air support and Zzz them one by none while they got distracted by heli lol.

btw the mother base development timer is bugged in my game. I must stay ON to make progress. rest mode pause the base development.

If you're persistently stuck in these types of games then switch up your tactics. If you're stealthy, go Rambo or create distractions to keep the enemy busy. If you're a completionist (like me, I have to incapacitate and Fulton every damn person!) then suppress the urge and just move on through. Ignore any side objectives.

The one where u have to get the Honeybee weapon ? I have seen patience and stealth I'd the key, and distraction is important.......the AI really reacts very naturally to your plans, unlike other games where u have to remember " its a game so my plan won't work, cos AI will not do stuff as expected ", here the AI behaves and I had to remember to make plans naturally and not like a " game" and it works :) !

In some rare situations the AI just goes stupid and doens't notice u at all ina cardboard box though. It's fun when that happens, cos it gets easier [emoji14] lol
