Neat, thanks for posting. I switch constantly between first person and third person view in MGO too. Once one gets used to the control scheme, I find the experience more immersive but that's just me.

The other element I am interested in is the weapon customization. Hope to see some footage on that soon :)

Apparently the game went gold and they'll have a press event to announce its completion on May 13th in Japan.

These pics posted yet? Might be spoiler(ish), I dunno. Proceed with caution.

Also from the same thread this.
Playstation: the official magazine: MGS4 preview

The end of a franchisee, the beginning of a new era in console gaming. The biggest PS3 game of the year proves its status.
Maybe fake or maybe not.

Lately, Susumu Tachi's invisibility suit made the round among PS3 forums again: http://news.bbc.co.uk/2/hi/asia-pacific/2777111.stm
Completely OT, but this is archetypal of the sort of nonsense journalism headlines that get bandied about. Who tags Japanese scientist invents 'invisibility coat' onto the idea of a camera filming behind and object and the image being projected? You may as well call a television a teleportation device!

It is only an illusion. The effect is more striking in-motion:

(The fourth one is most similar to Snake's appearance when Octocamo is on).

I posted this because it goes with the other quadruped robot post (vs Gekko in MGS4) [Can't find the link now]. The game has some nice ideas and theme but it looks like the control scheme will limit it to only hardcore gamers or serious casuals.

I am sure it will deserve every 10/10 it gets! then again , I love Snake !

Edit: Just read some of it! very carefully, not to read something I don't want to, just a glimpse!
It says the even with the stratospheric standards of MGS, this is a high point !!!!
Boss battles are amazing !
I ran off that thread after that.
I can't stop gushing ! :D:D:D

The track list has been revealed...not sure where it is (cause I don't want to look at it again!). It has lots of suggestive track names, and all in all is about 120minutes of music.

I'm glad they got Harry Gregson-Willaims back for this one too. His music has a very distinctive style about it. I can pretty much spot it anywhere now. I remember an interview with him, talking about MGS4. He said he was really busy at the time, but when he saw the script he was compelled to sign up.

The interview at gmaesradar says it took 29 hours and 6 mins to complete the game for the review.MGO being reviewed separately! Thats good! it means it will take me 35 to 40 as I linger around a lot !:D

Nice to see that next gen development did not shorten MGS. Infinity Ward should learn from this.
Edit: By the way: Don't read that article ! Has SPOILERS ! I ducked out just in time ! They are bloody talking about the ending !!!!!

The game looks really nice on a movie screen.
