Is KillZone footage prerendered or realtime?

How it thats nuts. Didn't the guy say or someone say that the FF-VII sequence was real?

I was talking about the Killzone video, I could have said it clearer though.

Less skeptical that KZ or similar will one day actually appear. I'm still healthily skeptical, but the FF movie was amazing as anything else yet seen of next-gen and done in real-time (supposedly). I think it'd help is we had details on the inner workings of RSX as with 300 megatrannies, there might be some interesting features to help this stuff along?

I agree that the FF demo was amazing and overally Sony's show was by far the most impressive, I'm not going to hold my breath for Killzone or Motorstorm visuals though, but the confirmed real time stuff is more than enough for me.

Probably not real-time yet, but in the final I think they could do.

Look at GR3 it is runing(real-time maybe not opimised once that it is not final HW) in a X800 (max) and dual G5 and looked beautifull, imagine a a 6800SLI + SM3+(like) + Cell + optimised.

Any game of the presentation I think that will be possible (or almost equal) if not at 1 gen in the 2 or 3 gen.

In both PS3 and XB360 (but at 720p, I belive that a R500 is at least as powerfull as 2 X 6800 at 720p).

OT

Great physics.

PC999 you have a great point. The guys from Epic reported that the GPU specs that they programmed the Unreal 2007 for only used about 40 to 50 percent of what the final RSX is suppose to be. And that was with NO cell involvement.

Think about the final PS3. It will be overly impressive. I remember people saying a few weeks ago that 'this generation CG stuff couldn't be done in realtime.' As we can see we were wrong. Which is good. So yes I expect games to look exactly like the KZ and Motorsport games.

Read laa-Yoshis post from the first page, It has been said that Guerilla didn't even make this prerendered presentation. These guys did it. They are the same guys who did the original Killzone movie.
We're conjecturing here. And if it's the same people who worked with Guerilla before on Killzone, then they're part of the process of "bringing about what the game will look like." Remeber it was all contingent of "if that's what they can make it look like," hm?

My comments were pretty obviously tongue-in-cheek and playing with sarcasm, so your efforts to turn them into "something" are pretty poorly aimed. :p

Actually if we think how many times a XB360/PS3 is more powerfull to a todays PC, and how many times does KZ2 looks better than CoD2, probably will be same (or at least close), so I think we should be able to get (soon or later) games with those visuals.

PS:if the min requirements is higher that a P4@2-2,5Ghz and a 9600XT I would be very suprised.
