Image Quality and Framebuffer Analysis for Available/release build Games *Read the first post*

someone mind taking a look at VF5 Final Show down, not sure which version I should get. Heard the PS3 version actually have AA now but I am hoping for some sort of confirmation.

Found a couple 360 shots as well: http://www.neogaf.com/forum/showpost.php?p=38599163&postcount=968

Both are 720p with what looks like FXAA (different implementations). The shots aren't identical (stage lighting), but it does seem like the PS3 version misses out on a number of edges though the blurring is a tad stronger when it detects them. Judging by the character textures, the 360 doesn't look like it fares any worse.

In motion there seems to be a weird ghosting effect. So maybe TAA could also be in use.

can you tell something about the color depth? I just saw the 360 version at a friends house and it kind of looked 'flat', I don't know how his tv was set up so I can't comment on that.
(that is, if color depth has to do with the framebuffer, otherwise, feel free to create a new topic for this and move the post there, or something to that extend)

The only major difference I could tell was that the glows are significantly fatter/worse on PS3 around stage lights in the tournament arena with the crowds; there is certainly more cyan to the blooms, but that's actually... bad. Seems like an issue of buffer format. The above PS3 shots would seem to indicate a low precision buffer for the bloom, colourful and white clipped as they appear. Would have to see more comparison shots, so I don't really know what you mean by flat. There is also the issue of gamma (very slight difference), so that could be affecting the colours all around as well - "greyness".

Seems possible.

does 360 version have surround sound? I know some 360 games out put to 5.1 but not really in 5.1

No idea. My complaint doesn't lie within the lack of surroud sound here anyways (if there even is a lack of surround sound). It's with the horrendously low fidelity of the sound samples. It just sounds incredibly cheap and tinny.
