Halo Master Chief Collection [H:MCC] [XO, XBSX|S, PC, XGP]

That's almost certainly CGI. I'm guessing 343 hired Axis to redo all the in-engine cinematics from Halo 2.

So ODST is not included? Would be a major disappointment to me.

It's the Master Chief collection. So it only contains the Halo games that feature Master Chief.

The best thing is, it appears that not only will the Master Chief collection with Halos 1-4 be 60 FPS, but that Halo 5 will also be 60 FPS (the upcoming multiplayer BETA will be 60 FPS). Really good news.

SB

In an odd twist, Halo 5 might be 900p while the remastered versions are 1080p. (engines are different naturally, but it will be fun to compare Halo 4 to Halo 5 now)

So hyped for Halo TMCC. Im so glad they gave Halo 2 the proper anniversary treatment it looks great.
On top of that we get HaloCEA, Halo3 and Halo4 with great image quality. Halo 3 definitly needs it. All 1080p and 60fps for $60. Thank you 343i !!!

I never got to play the Pc version of Halo2 though. Does Halo2 pc have much improved visuals over the original xbox version?

Many of the textures are 512² on the PC. Halo 2 on Xbox I think had up to 256². Other than screen res and AA, I can't think of any other improvements.

I much prefer the original Halo compared to Halo 2 though. I really dislike having the aiming reticle below the center of the screen, regardless if it's to some how simulate a large visor.

It's interesting that when we learned Halo CE A had the ability to click between versions, there was a lot of backlash to the graphical sacrifices that would require.

Now, with 5GB of RAM, it doesn't seem like such a big deal. Even if the percentages are close.

Thanks Azbat and Laa-Yosh, some really impressive stuff in there.

In fact I am surprised at their hard work on this.

It says a lot about them, when you have companies (The Last of Us cough cough) like Sony in pure gold digger style, scratching their balls and changing nothing in the game, just upgrading resolution and framerate.

My hats off to 343i for this.

A lot of this is an investment to create a larger audience for Halo 5, even they admit that. Lots of 15-20 year olds are too young to remember the old Halo games, after all even the second one is 10 years old now.

Also remember, some of those images above are CGI remakes of the old cutscenes and not ingame material.

Lots of screens still show shader aliasing (especially the Ascension remake, yay Forerunner shine >_> ) and blurry post-AA (foliage on Cairo Station). :|

With the CGI I'm mostly talking about the Arbiter, Johnson, Truth and Hood faces, and maybe that shot of the Dawn approaching Halo.
