Grand Theft Auto VI [GTA 6]: What can we expect?

Formost, I am a PC gamer and modder/scripter in the GTA community... and yes, the PC crowd must wait again, but for me it isn't a biggie. Playing it on PS5 (or Pro if it's available next year) will hold me over, and provide me with ideas for the next mods/scripts that I want to develop for GTA6. PC gamers just need to expand their horizons beyond just one platform, because gaming on consoles is great and welcomed.
Nah.. it's ridiculous to expect someone to 'expand their horizons' for one game.. which will come ~12 months later... instead of just expecting the company who is VERY OBVIOUSLY going to release that PC version.. to just release it day 1.

Releasing it later screws over PC gamers who now have to deal with the game and story being out there and spoken about on every corner. Now that shit is shoved down your throat with very little way of avoiding it.. and they know it.

The whole "mods" bullshit doesn't hold water with me either. Release the single player campaign as it's own thing if the account hacking is an issue, and release GTA6 Online on PC separately at a later date with all the shitty DRM they can cram into it.. Mods are the entire reason why GTA5 has continued to sell millions and millions over the years, and instead of embracing it, they ostracize PC gamers.

It will be 2025... people just want to play games where they play games. Rockstar is obviously big enough that they can do what they want... but PC gamers don't have to like or agree with it.. and they deserve to be called out for it. It's a clear pattern for them, and it comes at the expense of the experience for PC gamers.

I'm going to out myself here a bit. I've played every "main line" GTA game (1, 2, 3, VC, SA, IV) at or near launch but I for sure wouldn't say I'm die hard fan as if you notice something interesting from that previous list I haven't played GTA V yet. Well I've dabbled in it a bit but haven't actually played through it. I also don't have any clue on what the story is beyond the intro part.

Just to add, look the reality is unless people actually boycott and not CoD boycott in mass then they'll just do what they will do. And to be honest it does seem like the most vocal fall in two groups about these issues in general -

1) People who are the die hards who will buy anyways, eg. the CoD boycotters

2) People who are haters who weren't going to buy anyways

32 million views in 4 hours is something nobody else in the industry can match wow. Massive material, lighting, density improvements etc compared to 5 which is expected (I haven't looked at RDR2 enough to compare). Looks really good and the long hair artifacting might mean it's real time? *I'm not holding my breath for this but we can live in hope

2025 on top of that. GTA 3 (2001) to GTA 5 (2013) to GTA 6 (2025), time where have you gone

Not just for one game, but any game that doesn't release day one on PC.

Give me a fucking break, this isn't new on any platform. This shit happens both ways, this isn't a one-way street where only PC gamers feel slighted on waiting for a game months or years later. There are far more games released on PC first, and often the only platform were the game stays. So, my advise to PC gamers is grow the f-up, and have some dignity.

Rockstar has a winning business formula (which Sony emulates), release it on consoles first and a year or so later on PC. Multiple purchases (or double dipping) of the same content is a smart move to me, there isn't nothing inherently wrong on wanting to profit on console gamers willing to spend their money on the same content on PC, and GTA V has proven that.

Yeah, sure complain, its free, and a welcomed exercise of your choosing. But as I stated before, my choice or view on the matter is that "it is, what it is" and no need for me to wait for something that I can easily enjoy and play on another platform, which I enjoy gaming on as well.

Real time footage captured on a PC with a RTX 4090 :ROFLMAO: (I couldn't resist)

Timeline is too long for me to get excited, but the world density looked great, and there's a lady with hair that sways nicely.

*yawn* Nobody said it was. But get over yourself dude.. buy your console and shut the hell up about it then... don't preach to us who don't want to do that shit just because you're willing to.

Rockstar haven't released a title on PC day and date with consoles in over 20 years. Seems silly to be upset that this isn't suddenly changing. Especially considering market realities make it harder than ever before to do so.

Recent Rockstar games have lived up to the trailers too. I'm pretty sure at least GTAV, RDR2 were very much equivalent to the trailers. GTA6 is going to be nuts. Glad it's far enough out that I'll probably have a PC upgrade by then.

Yup! Rockstar doesn't disappoint in this area.

Weren't there notable downgrades from the GTA V trailer in its upgraded form for PS4/Xbone? This just looks so good I cant rule out the possibility of some marketing having crept in.

the amounts of physics in the trailer is ridiculous. i wonder, those are real physics or actually lots and lots of animations (mocap?) ?

The in-engine trailers for the most part looked the same "gameplay wise" across their respective platforms.
