Anyhow, I'm kind of glad the bba is only at 10, it means that developers have to do some optimization of the LAN code, which means it is feasibly possible to get like a gamecube tunnel in the future.(there already is something like this for gamecube, I believe they have kirby's air ride running at 1/3 to 1/2 speed online)

The news section on the site sais they have Kirby Air Ride running on 20 FPS, because it sends the data "in a ring", I'm still not sure what this means... or why is it that way (btw it's running on UDP). Anyway, the devs are aiming to deliver a release version for MKD, and have the app available for testing right now.

At a frame rate that is terrible. Yippe Ay Yay! I can play games i didn't pay for at whooping 10 frames! But hey, maybe some people appreciate playing GC games Myst style

Its nowhere near as bad as you make it seem. I haven't actually tried any of this but I hear that most games run at good framerates with only some stuttering. Speed is increasing with every new release of the loader.

Also, witht the release of GUI's ( http://www.rypp.net ) the method is getting easier and easier.
Soon anyone who can work tunneling could work this. Its slowly becoming more of a problem.

I still fail to see, how this is threatening. This method doesn't offer the quality nor the ease of use of mod chip, so its mainstream penetration is insignificant.
