Forza Motorsport [XBSX|S, PC, XGP]

If there was any Forza that drove like you're on ice it's Forza Motorsport 2, it was fun but god damn it was card to keep certain cars in a straight line, then with 3 they nerfed that pretty hard and got the balance just right for FM4.

To me after FM4 cars started to feel too heavier and more understeery, the Porsche GT2 RS in the Forza 7 demo felt like a bloody boat! Cars felt harder to control than real life almost like it was trying to hard to be hard to appear more realistic. I'm hearing great things about the physics in this game though which is great!

Yeah from what I ve heard from other places wheel doesnt feel right on Forza. GT is the reverse. Since GT Sport, using a standard controller, the game is too forgiving and arcadey for me. Connect a steering wheel with Force Feedback to the max and it is a whole new experience. Much more realistic, challenging, and a lot more fun. Playing forza with a standard controller was less forgivimg but at the same time the difficulty felt forced to give the impression its a sim. But it didnt control right

There’s no AC mod that’s good?
I think there is 1? I was searching around looking for it but I wasn’t sure if it was a fan mod or a legitimate paid for mod.
Like I can find YT vids of MR2s in AC. But I can’t find the paid mod for it.

Also, calling Forza Motorsport an 'arcade' racer is just absolutely silly.

Because I don't think you can even enter the conversation of "sim" if you're limited to how it plays with a controller where you have no way of comparing the handling to reality.

Even with all the assists allegedly turned off, FM's steering model just doesn't seem to be able to be decoupled from their assists. It plays like you're always contending with some element of integration-based or speed dependent turning where your wheel movements are never 1:1 manipulating the front wheels. This was the case after their advertised wheel update, with and without the third-party ForzaEmu utility. Whatever the reason is, the result is you feel like you're interfacing with a video game via a wheel-shaped controller, you don't feel like you're driving a car.

Sim:
iracing
AC/ACC
RF2

Sim lite:
GT7
AMS2

Simcade:
Forza
GT7 is little different than FM in terms of how forgiving/realistic it is on the whole. It's very silly to separate them like this, and including AMS2 in with GT7 as a 'sim lite' is perhaps even crazier. AMS2 is a full on sim.

Simcade should be more like Forza Horizon/Driveclub/GRID/etc.

Again, the point isn't to say FM is a hardcore sim, it's simply that it's very clearly in sim territory and nothing remotely like an arcade racer.

Yes, FM uses steering assists for controllers, but so does GT, it's just not as good at it. In the end, it's all about actually exploring what you need to do to get the car to do what you want. I'm pretty proficient with both a wheel and a controller, and that comes from experience and practice. There would not still exist such an incredibly high skill ceiling if this steering assist was really just doing all the work.

???
Does that means car reflections are not Ray traced?
Or you are saying the video is not using a mode with RT reflections?
It depends on which object at which diatance is in the reflection. Objects further away from the Car are handled by cubemap om XSX. Only close objects around the Car and the Car itself are Ray traced against.
