Final Fantasy VII: Advent Children (?!?!!)

There has always been 3 ff games each generation(1-3 8bit, 4-6 16bit, 7-9 32bit)..So i dont think its rushed..wasnt ff7 in development for like 3-4 years?

In my opinion ff7 is all ff6 tried to be. Ff7 is ff perfection.

Well... Schmuck, keep in mind 3D games need more time to 'cook' than 2D, at least RPG's do. And FF7 got shredded by its release date... just look at the spelling and grammar in the PS1 version if you don't believe it. Tonnes of mistakes... and then there are a whole bunch of dummied items, a handful of dummied materia, even a couple of removed side quests. =)

This is not a game. In the upcoming TGS list, the system is listed as (DVD) instead of (PS2), (GBA), etc. IGN says it's a straight-to-DVD CGI movie, and the TGS list confirms that.

Square has really fallen from grace. They havent made a single great "nextgen" game. Sad really, this is the developer that gave us the exellent games like: vagrant story, finalfantasy tactics, ff6-7, chrono trigger, seiken densetsu 2-3, einhänder, xenogears etc etc.

Ah. Very nicely aligned to personal opinion. Gotta love it.

FFX was on par with most of the FF's (mainly because I don't go all hyper over certain older ones), plenty seemed to like Kingdom Hearts, FFXI and expansion (and expansion #2 coming up) have been doing well after a shaky start... X-2 I'm not sure about, but looks like an amusing alternative to their stock brand of RPG. Even Unlimited Saga is pretty interesting, if you get used to the violent shift from "expectations" in regards to RPGs. (Admittedly I haven't played enough of it yet to know the whole game, so it's mainly in the "interesting" stage for me.)

Meanwhile Dragon Quest VIII and Front Mission 4 are coming up, and Drakenguard (Drag-on Dragoon) is looking pretty spiffy...

Mainly, Square hasn't been developing quite as much, we haven't seen the full spread of time yet, and people age and expectations change, while developers in many ways continue to target for the audiences we pass by. <shrugs> I tend to enjoy game for the fun they have in them, rather than keep doing the incessant comparisons and applying my own expectations and desires on them, then being unhappy when (invariably) every game can't live up to them.

it might be just me, but i think Kingdom Hearts is a hell of a game.... one of the best i played this generation. and to some who diss it before even playing it after the introduction part, then DON'T.

by far one of the best games this gen.

anyway, here's the situation:

i was like 50 hours into FF7, almost finished it, and BOOM the save game suddenly becomes corrupted.

so, can ANYONE pleeeeeease tell me how it finishes? not on here, PrivMess me.... pretty please... i aint starting the whole thing all over again...
Thank you guys...

london boy, get your hands on FF7 PC, the videos are AVI format so you can watch them on your PC.

I loved the first 6 ffs . I must say that after 7 on the psx they started rushing the games.

BINGO

We don't agree on everything, but this we do 100%.
I must say though so far the ff for the cube is a solid game. I much rather play kotor though. God i can't wait for the pc version. The problem also lies with the media . They over hyped the old games and now there are to many people who will stick it out even if they box and ship poo to the customers.
