Discrepancies in Anandtech's tech preview?

i think mistakes like this are common from cnn, to prime time news
typical
beyond3d is one of the few places u can go to expect a decent review with none of this brainwashing garbage u get from others.
anands been like this for ages

It's error city out there... From Anandtech to Hexus to Tom's (I know, I know...) How does 8 pipelines with 2 TMUs each from Hexus or 256-bit DDR2 running on a 250MHz Quad pumped bus for 1GHz (Tom's) sound...?

Interesting tidbits:

- Memory controller: LMA II Optimised (not LMA III?)
- 350 MTris/s (FP Array?)
- On-chip TV encoder so only decoder required
- 2x 400MHz 10-bit integrated RAMDACs

Edit: Not all Hexus' errors...;)

The daftest part of Anand's whole preview is
NVIDIA provided us with Doom3 scores that indicated a 40% advantage over the Radeon 9700 Pro.

Aha! So this translates as "the unreleased NV30 beats the R300 with unspecified drivers on an unspecified build of an unreleased game by 40%. We can be sure of these figures because NVidia told us so."

Just ridiculous really, whether or not the NV30 is that much faster than the R300. I mean, the demo they are quoting is even called nvdemo3! Could ATI release "atidemo3" results, for example, which show them handily beating the NV30?

Why would they simply use a chart nVidia supplied them which purported concrete information about an ATI product without verifying the information beforehand?

I think you know the answer to that question. ;)
