Not a problem on a 4K TV, particularly a Sony 4K TV with "X-Reality Pro" which is going to be doing some very nice image processing during scaling which is lessening 1080p output jaggies. Jaggies that were apparent on my 40" 1080p set are less apparat on my 49" 4K set.

Magick! :runaway:
But is it laggy?

Maybe they're like Rockstar and people will buy ES6 in droves anyway. Except Rockstar improve their engine in leaps and bounds every time.

Holy shit! Those devs really are the worst in the industry imo wrt game tec. FO4 is already meh, but releasing such a thing is downright criminal (Yadda yadda, bad job, so much pressure, money, time constraint, yadda yadda).

Sony should implement a Steam like 2 weeks return policy...and how come shitty Sony QA let this pass!!! Meh.

I dunno, those people a month or two back who released a game that goes down to 10 FPS aren't very good either...

Mod makers are their quality control. :p I sometimes think they rely too much on mod makers to make their games look good and run well.

No kidding, I got to play Fallout 4 last week with one of the grass mods and a new shader mod and it looked great at 60 fps:

I really like the added vegetation, it gives the game more of the colour I really liked in The Last of Us and makes the world feel less desperate and dead.

That's pretty cool, I am thinking of getting a 4K TV soon, but just not sure which to get, or I should wait for HDR technology... I do like the idea of a 40 inch 4K that cleans up jaggies though, that would help immensely with Bloodborne which can be quite the jaggie-fest :D

Those mods are for PC? I haven't played FO4 in a bit, but I really like it actually. This is my modded FO4 for PC :)

It has maybe too much grain filter and colour grading but I like this style, it seems to fit in with Fallout theme :p

I think the grass mod I was using was Spring Seasons grass mod or something, I forget, it's been a while since I played the game.

That grass video you posted above actually is very impressive, I may switch to that one instead when I play again ^^

As cool as it looks, I'm not sure lush green grass is really fitting in the fallout world.
So you're saying you didn't use the tropical climate mod for Skyrim either??? :D

There's already quite a lot of colour in Fallout 4's world, especially compared to Fallout 3, but they assumed radiation would kill most of the plants but Chernobyl has shown plants adapt.

Grass is pervasive and highly adaptable.

All the flora and fauna in Chernobyl is healthy. It's only the movies adding a desaturation filter that makes post-apocalypse look dead. Past the 'ash phase' where everything's covered in dust, it'll all look normal and green again.

And a lot of the 'grey and dead' look from those photos is just because it was Soviet Russia! Plus grass is exremely resilient and will get everywhere. We put plant-killing poisons on our lawns to kill everything expect the grass coz it's well 'ard!

I love how it states at the end that some scientists estimate it could be 20,000 years before people can live near it. :D

It is already fine for human habitation in most of the exclusion zone. Policy makers are just being extremely cautious, "just in case."

Still quite fascinating series of pictures.

SB
