Destiny 2

If the real reason the Pro can't run it at 60fps is the limited CPU power - I didn't believe that personally - then the XBOX won't really get there either as the CPU isn't very different.
shouldn't be able to reach it, but without knowing the margins, it's really just a big fat unknown. We don't know far 4Pro is from 60, it's definitely running above 30.

Indeed. They'd need to be hitting below 24ms per frame (42fps) on PS4 CPU-side (1.6GHz) if we were going to see 60fps have a chance on the X (2.3GHz).

In other news, Darkness is completely out of the story now. Won't be mentioned in D2 according to Luke Smith cod he says they had no idea yet what darkness was and will deal with it in D3 when they have made up that part of the fiction. A very honest confession I must say !
D2 Will be about what it means to be the chosen, to be given the light. Though we all know D2 Will be about weapons and loot [emoji14]

One concern i have currently: I wonder if the game will feel too easy with mouse's super quick 360 and 180º turns. Cos thats a fact that tracking enemies is so much faster and accurate with a mouse.
Also what about aim assist being an actual stat in D1 guns? how will that work out on pc? or are they throwing that away?

and I sincerely hope Bungie doesnt make us suffer changes for that. Already we have to suffer nerfs in Pve due to the damned Pvp, i dont want more nerfs due to the super fast PC gameplay now!

THe only reason I am watching this video is because I believe there is no sense in putting shotguns out of regular play. Shotguns are shooters in PvE and now Shotguns are a heavy/power weapon which means I just cannot DOOM through a Destiny mission now. Which is sad. I also dont understand why I can carry only one elemental into my mission now? Right now with my Arc primary, I am carrying elemental damage on all my weapons, All Three of them ! Now D2 says I can have only one elemental. which also means only one element type at a time, right now I can carry a solar, a arc and a void wepon into my strike and switch.

THey could have done this just for PVP and left the main game alone. -_- I can never forget my Hawkmoon, my very existence in Destiny, becoming useless thanks to Pvp

When the pc version got hacked to bits and the hackers found a way to build a server emulator, I'll buy the pc version and enjoy Destiny 2 without getting fucked all the time by bungie's wishi washi decisions.

In the mean time I'll probably play it on PS4 and keeps complaining every time bungie patched out every single bits of freedom of engagement

Heh, it seems Datto is a trendsetter, he comes out with negative video to D2 a couple days ago then it seemed like I noticed all the Destiny guys jumped on the negativity to D2 train, twitter too...

Anyways I am getting a bit worried about "dumbing down". First Str/Int/Disc appears gone for example, now Datto said something about you can only run like two setups per subclass? So no more micromanaging subclass perks???

I dunno, I tried to think if it REALLY matters, maybe Bungie is right, actually playing the game is the thing to focus on.

Honestly I am not even sure anymore I will get D2. Or at least play it like D1. I somewhat enjoy having a lot more free time, and to do productive things. And D2 really looks like D 1.5. That said, I still suspect I will get it, but maybe I'll just go crazy on it for like 3 months, then uninstall again.

I'm also eagerly awaiting just how bad hunters are. It's very clear Bungie will never allow Hunters to be competitive due to sheer bias against them. I'm just going to be amused at how bad they make it. I've already mentioned how Titans and Warlocks get all new subclasses while hunters get poledancing arcblade exactly the same again. Great.

I also hope hand cannons are not the only viable primary yet again, just like almost the entire last 3 years uninterrupted, again I fully expect exactly that though, due to Bungie's strong balancing biases. 3/4 of the primaries in the game being nearly useless in PVP is great balancing.

Haven't seen Datto's video yet but the subclass setups being fixed is known since the first day of reveal. Same for weapons. Its only the lore stuff about shunning darkness which is making news now after the Luke Smith interview. Personally, I am fine with Darkness gone or now, cos honestly, there is a lot in Destiny universe even if Darkness is tackled later or even never. there needs to be a mystery that stays alive for longer. its all about villains and characters in a story in such a campaign. I would like that the world mysteries live on, its just the second game.

I also have an issue with just 4v4 Pvp cos thats not for me. AFAIK, these negatives have been raised by youtubers since day one of the reveal. But yeah, I am not following stuff like I used to, simply because there has been too much thanx to E3 :)

Simplifying the game, this happened to WoW in the same way as well. when they finally figured it out, they started releasing PVP only armor which was fair for everyone but not useful in PVE. Vice versa for PVE gear working in Arena. You made huge health trade offs to up your DPS marginally, since DPS rotations dont' really work in PVP

Separating PvP numbers from Pve is the way to go. Anyways the whole light level etc only works in ONE specific PvP mode so the whole dream of having a single Gaurdian for both PvP and PvE never really happened in D1 either. SO that dream of Bungie of having the same character evrywhere isnt really real anyways. Having a different setup for PvP will stop the core game from becoming unfun for no reason at all !

Its the same in Dark Souls too where they nerf weapons for PvP and make them meaningless in PVE too. Its stupid although its justified there as PvP happens within PvE there. Ther eis no reason Destiny needs to do it.

thats my opinion cos PvP is only a small distraction for me. I enjoy it, a lot when I do play it, but my bread and butter in Destiny is PvE. Separating Pvp and PvE will only make both fans happier.

I do agree, if they want to be serious about arena and PVP, they do need to separate gear; especially since gear also contains 'talents'. Some subclasses have no viability in PVP without specific exotics. And that's a big issue. With specialized PVP gear, this problem goes away.

PVP also requires normalization (no random stats/perks on PVP gear) and balance separated completely from PVE normalization and balance.

I think more people would have stayed with PVP destiny if such a thing happened. 30fps doesn't help though.

Finally pressed the Pre order button, frankly there is no other shooter I would rather play.
Can't wait for the beta now :D ! As is with bungie, a pathetic dynamic theme came with the preorder. I will keep my Nex MAchina theme, thank you. I hope they let us preload the beta a bit early so that the actual beta time isn't lost in downloading the beta.
really interested in getting the feel of the new weapon system and the Titan barrier shield. What is the secondary ability for the Sentinal Titan? The barrier is for the Arc Titan (Fist of Havoc) right?

i want to pre order but ill be in the jungle again when D2 got released... although if D2 kept the network quality as lenient as D1, i probably can stick my phone or a modem to something tall and get barely usable 3G, with a few hundreds miliseconds latency and random timeouts (in D1, this condition is fine for doing story mission, and still work-able for strike).

Again the same feeling: so much story and lore and yet hardly any inside the D1. Really hoping they bring this stuff into D2 and not just leave it for later again.

How are they expected to handle X1X since it comes out after the game? We buy the game in September, play on our Xbox One's for a couple months, and they give us a free patch when X1X comes out?

I bet they really want to charge for that patch...they want to charge for everything....but they know public opinion wont let them.

I wouldn't mind paying $10 for a X1X download if it meant they put a lot more effort into the One X port (same principle should apply to PS4 Pro if I owned that).

Why should I be penalised for owning a better version of a console platform? Why should I pay more for owning a console? Its like saying pay $20 more if you own a gtx1080 to run on higher settings LOL ! WHat kind of convoluted shit is that?

And on that note, I have ordered a PS4 pro.....and no way in hell am I going to pay a dime extra for owning a better piece of hardware. They can keep the game to themselves and not release it if they cannot make use of a particular hardware.
Also bummed that Destiny and Destiny 2 do not outtput HDR. DO not own a 4k HDR TV yet but I might anyday and its sad to see that the gamw I will be playing most does not seem to out[ut HDR even though its a AAA juggernaut financially.

That would set a seriously bad presadent.
And one that I don't think would go over very well in the long run. Also they would be the only ones doing it, highlighted by Phil when he made a point of saying the updates we're free.

I watched a D2 NVidia 1080Ti E3 video yesterday with it running at 4k60 everything maxed out. Have to admit it looked good.
We know the 1X will be 30fps, so any reason apart from NVidia proprietary libraries why it can't look that good on the 1X at 4K30? Obviously turn down some settings that eat frame rate but has minor visual impact.
Also I don't know the specs of a 1080Ti, but don't think it's well over double the 1X gpu.

If it looks anything close to that 1080Ti vid I saw, 1X owners in for a visual treat. If bungie are able to put in the work.

Is all other vids 4pro or ps4? Not watched any D2 stuff.
