Crysis full game

I think you have to install the game, because that's where all the assets are. Buildings, trees, AI.. they're part of the game level files. The editor is just a single program, I think it pulls all of it's files from the main game. So even if you could install just the editor, all you'd be able to make is untextured ground and water. Likewise, the game itself is just an executable.. if you want the full-featured editor, the game itself is only a couple extra files. Why not just install the whole thing and be done with it?

I installed the full game and the editor , working now! Checked out sme TOD settings. Its so simple yet functional .

I just didn't want to install the full game as I have already played it and didn't want to waste extra space.
My intentions are to understand the editor by llooking at small custom made levels, and try out my own stuff.
Can any of you guys tell me how to import objects from Max or Maya into the sandbox2 editor?

FC Fort is now available for download.

FC Fort is a custom singleplayer level, recreating the Far Cry
levels Fort and Pier into one large map. The level is designed
for high-end systems in general, but has also been tweaked to
perform as good as possible with scaled back graphics settings.

Features include:

Fully detailed and rich enviroment.
Detailed AI routines.
Full 24 hour custom Time of Day.
Day time & Night time mission (selectable at start).
Detailed mission objectives based on the original Far Cry levels.
Secondary objectives.
Detailed mini-map.
Dynamic music.
Detailed weather effects.
Random wind effects.
Destructible indoor and street lights.
HUD Clock.
Custom sfx.
Custom music (composed by Stringed Evil).
Extensive Flow Graphs.

The level has been transfered to a mod format in order to include some of
the new content, but the gameplay itself is the same as Crysis.

Wow!

Wondering if there is a command or other setting outside of game that can enable tripple buffering in a proper way in DX10 render path mode. As is I need to disable vsync in menu and then re-enable it to get tripple buffering in DX10 for the current gaming session.

Catalyst 9.5 (4890), DX10 mars update.

Don't think there is a command for triple buffering in D3D10. I force triple buffering through the NV Control Panel and it works fine..

I suspect D3DOverrider would also do the trick.

Dont be shy, take a new tour in Crysis with my TOD pack... it looks fabolous and realistic. :D

Ps.. the clouds look a bit stronger lighted than it is ingame.

Also I have switched to playing in DX10 64bit as I got about 1fps less in perfomacne and AA looks and works better on surfaces despite lack of TSAA. However I was getting random crashes with 20-30min interval.

My guts said it was something to do with geometry shaders and sure it was. In your autoexec.cfg file set the cvar command r_UseGSParticles=0 (dont do it ingame or it might crash the game).

I have Vista x64 fully patched, latest DirectX update, Catalyst 9.7 and ATI 4890 GPU. After changing this command the game is working flawless inthis mode. Difference in perfomance was actually a 2-4fps gain and particles being the same in shape and amount except some spark types got glow effect. Win win situation if you ask me.

EDIT: IF you need a perfomacne boost with my 'Ultra Config' then you can change the r_WaterUpdateFactor to r_WaterUpdateFactor=0.2

This will still make the water look smooth and it's reflections however reflected environment (landscape and vegetation) doesn't need to be updated as fast (yet smooth) dropping amount of mirrored vegetation and thus a large amount of polygons, DIP are shaved off giving a respectable framerate boost in such environments.

I'm up to the last level on this game.
I just upgraded my OS from 32bit to the 64bit version because my pc would run out of ram when I was playing in 32bit mode.Problem is, I continued playing on with my new OS ( which can use all my ram) for about 20-30mins, and I started noticing some pauses during gameplay.I went to task manager and found out it was using 97% of my ram! That's right, over 5 gigs, then it ran out of ram again.

Why is this still a problem? I read that running the game in dx9 will fix the ram issues.

I play the game at 1400x900 2aa 8xaf, on a custom setting of very high and high. ( and medium for the sound ;) ).

My system is:
intel i7 920
ati 4890
6 gigs of ram.

I get a pretty good framerate throughout the game, but it's that last level where it uses up all my ram that bugs me.

Is there anything I can do, besides running the game in dx9 mode?

You cannot use your old saves saved in 32bit mode as they will create and bear it's original problems to 64bit. You need fresh save games saved in 64bit mode.

I recommend restarting last level by a fresh save created for 64bit. In the console prompt type "map fleet" without quotes to load the last level and have a new save created freshly for that map.

Are you sure about this? I don't mind playing it again in 64bit mode ( I was going to anyway) but I got more further during the last level when playing in 64bit mode than 32bit mode, but the game eventually ate up all my ram.

Yes, 32bit saves are not compatible with 64bit mode. The leak will still be there however it will take longer to fill your RAM up since your OS can address the whole 6GB RAM vs only 3GB in 32bit OS.
