Buying new TV - Go LED or wait for 3d?

Turns out I can't live without a projector and the 100" screen... I ordered a new projector. Epson EH-TW3200. Quite cheap as it's 1008e delivered. Should even be a bit better than my previous one Sanyo Z700 and it comes with a really good warranty for the lamp (1700h).

I quess I'm selling my 52" TV now...

oooh i have a question!!

Now that the craze seems to be 3D TV, how are OLED screens going to cope? Can they even do 3D? Will anyone really care about the apparent IQ improvements, seeing how the new thing now is 3D and not super contrast and black levels, which have been pretty much been sorted by plasma?

Im sure OLED will be 3D capable, it has a better refresh rate than plasma last i heard.

OLED is still a long way off before it becomes affordable at decent screen sizes. By that time every tv will be 3D and things like image quality, black levels etc will be what seperate each tv once again. The quality of 3D is just going to be another variable on the list that will be acounted for by people in the market for a new TV.
