Stated TBP is 300 watts, no leeway there. Select titles and older drivers are another story though
RDNA power consumption in practice doesn’t always abide by the stated numbers.

How you see this as a negative towards consoles? If amd doesnt improve gen on gen with future releases then console manufacturers have alternatives, perhaps intel?
I hope amd will catch up in the rt department soon enough, these consoles will be in their design phase in perhaps two years?
We also want lower prices in the gpu space.
Its not negative towards consoles, their not going to have to use a certain ihv. In fact i think intel could be happening before nv ever would.

Next gen consoles are due out in 2027/2028 when Navi 31 will be a long distant memory.
Console design would start soon-ish though? Atleast four years prior launch, then amd should be up there with intel and nv in about two years. Obviously not rdna3, but rdna5/6 could be closer and we hope thats something alot closer to its competitors.
For old games, i wouldnt say their value is bad at all otherwise, be it RT, ML or even raster. If they keep this up it could be an alternative.

Can anyone test this on Linux, I read it's expected to be around 5% perf deficit or so
how big of a chance that is that amd discovered a bug tried to fix it on a new stepping but failed and had to launch on A0?
