MSRP for 5450 is $59, 5570 is $79.. how much would a 5550 logically cost?
Glad the 5450 isn't selling for that much. Got mine for 40 USD even and free shipping.
Love that little card.

"TSMC's cancellation of 32 nm bulk silicon process caused ATI to waste half a year of time, [the foundation chip* of] Northern Islands may tape-out on 40 nm instead"
Have you seen this thread at Semi Accurate forums?

Interesting no?
P.S. - I wouldnt know if it was better to post here, or at the R900 thread
Is it even possible to tape out a chip and then find out that the fab just won't build it?
Didn't Huddy (was it Huddy?) say, that they'll have the best performing product for major part of this year after it was publicly known, that TSMC cancelled the 32nm node?
With a MSRP which is about the same as a standard HD5870, I don't think it's a good deal.now thats what I want , but I want it for $250 hehe

Of course, at least it makes a bit more sense than that gt220 with 2GB ddr2-800, but still...
NDA will end tomorrow. When are those eyefinity 6 2gig spoiler reviews going to happen. Haven't heard a beep about them in a while.

Too bad if true. I think it would be a lot clearer to have distinct product names for distinct products. Something like the 260 with its different SP totals is just confusing IMHO.All in all, it seems like a 900/925Mhz 5870 (5Ghz mem) has to do against the GTX480, it won't be labeled 5890. This will also be a reference card.
I heard from someone else, maybe I got wrong information.I thought it was for the Monday "after Fermi" (29th?) since the respective product information for the e6 was distributed a few days after the GTX480 info.
I think most HD5850 had ram chips rated for 1.25Ghz anyway, though the difference there is only 1Ghz clock vs. 1.125Ghz. The HD5870 already had its ram clocked at 1.2Ghz so they are likely still the same ram chips just clocked a bit higher (and in a x16 config, presumably). Those are premium products though so I'd expect the price difference to be quite a bit bigger than the additional cost of the memory chips. How expensive will these 2GB cards be?
I mean, 2GB 1.25GHz Ram vs 1 GB 1GHz ... am I correct that atm 1GB GDRR5 costs AMD/ NV ~ 20-30$?
