w0mbat: According to the review, PowerColor HD4750 has 640 SPs (no SIMDs deactivated), full clocks and 6-pin power connector is present too:

http://en.inpai.com.cn/doc/enshowcont.asp?id=6935&pageid=5617

Yep, i already said in my previous reply that inpai says 640SP.
The thing is that their GPU-Z ver doesn't show the SP number...

Expreview GPU-Z ver also doesn't show SP number but i think from the history of expreview reviews, i expect that at least read the box info...

And in their (inpai) review have many typos, example:

"As a leading graphics manufacturer,ATI is always keeping ahead in process from 88nm to 40nm"

Also in china there are 4770 & 4750 models, if the specs are the same like inpai is claiming (750MHz core/ 800MHz core/ 640SPs) why ATI made 2 SKUs for chinese market?

I am not saying that there is not a possibility for expreview to be wrong, i just think that expreview is more reliable source than inpai...

Like you said, the perf in inpai review is too close with 4850 so something is fishy...

Don't we have some members here working for ATI?
Sure they will know the real SP number.

Maybe HD4750 has free specs like some Asia-targeted designs in past.

Btw. HKEPC speaks about HD5000 mobility:

  • HD5700 "Madison"
    • HD5770 (Madison XT, GDDR5)
    • HD5750 (Madison PRO, GDDR5)
    • HD5730 (Madison LP, /G/DDR3)
  • HD5600 "Madison"
    • HD5650 (Madison LE, same GPU as 5700, deactivated SIMDs?)
  • HD5400 "Park" (64-bit, GDDR3/DDR3/DDR2)
    • HD5470 (Park XT)
    • HD5450 (Park PRO)
    • HD5430 (Park LP)

RV830 and RV810?

I don't think the box typically says that. It would be strange imho if specs would be different from manufacturer to manufacturer - different ram clocks yes (though this sucks), maybe different core clocks too but different number of clusters?

It was not. I dare recommend a chill pill to certain participants to this most wonderful thread, otherwise the infraction fairy may bring gifts. Now, back to GPUs, mmmkay?

I'm much more excited about the 57xx series from the looks of things. If you can pick up 4870 levels of performance along with a pile of power savings, then that's pretty good stuff. My brother will need a PC upgrade in the next 12 months or so, and the 57xx line would be perfect for what he likes to do and his budget.

In my local store, i remember i saw a sapphire box (i don't remember the model) mentioning SP number, but i don't know if the 4750 box is mentioning the SP number.

I searched the web also, here is a link for a 4670 GDDR4 ver.

Look box_rear.jpg it mentions 320 stream processing units.

Like i said i don't know about what info the 4750 box is mentioning...

Anyway we devoted much time in this subject already...

Maybe like no-X said, this is happening in some Asia-targeted designs.
The ATI guys here will know for sure...

Oh i just remembered, if you check, ASUS (in newegg) has a custom G92 96SP based 9600GSO 512MB version.

http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16814121320

The standard SKUs are 2:

G94 based
http://www.nvidia.com/object/product_geforce_9600_gso_512_us.html

and G92 based
http://www.nvidia.com/object/geforce_9600gso.html

The thing is (regarding perf...) that this has 8ROPS/96SPs/128bit memory bus & 22,4GB/s bandwidth (this i know for sure, it is not a 16ROPs/256bit mem ver, at least what a friend of mine has, not from newegg...)

So NV had a special deal with ASUS regarding this SKU.

Maybe ATI had a special deal with a partner for the chinese market and sold for this specific deal those models (just trying to guess why this is happening...)

WOW a bit stuttery but 2560x1600x3 or 1920x1080x3 (or around that) single HD5870 (Eyefinety doesn't work on CrossFire..yet) like the other showcased games on those monitors?

Whatever the res it is really, really high.

 that's some crazy ass weapon stretching. But... pretty cool with the single card driving it all. :)

Now if only ATi's driver team would give a chance and utilize all that pixel pushing power to do some RGSS anti-aliasing as an option for us, the poor single-display users, at least Nebula here would melt from happiness.
