PS5 has got to be $499 right? Even if Sony cuts the Pro down to $299 at year end no way they're selling the latest next gen console only $100 more than a mid gen upgrade that doesn't even have a 4k disc player.

I guess that proves there isn't a PS5 after all because Sony aren't investing in it.

My guess is after NextGen hits, neither side will make any more last-gen midgen consoles (4Pros or OneXs). They will burn through that inventory and that's that. They will have NextGen at the top and then last-gen base at the bottom of the price regions.

The rise of digital sales (Games and MTX/DLC) is the biggest contributor.

They are simply hiding the most interesting numbers. Probably because they want to sell you the real information (for a ridiculously high price).

    Source Tweet:

"An interesting takeaway from the US NPD report is that PS4 and XB1 hardware sales in Jan 2020 are considerably lower than PS3 and 360 were in Jan 2013.

Next-gen consoles are around the corner but both are declining sharper than expected.

    Switch continues to remain steady."

If ps5 ends up being 499$ I wouldn't be surprised to see ps4 sales climb back up somewhat. Some of those people waiting for ps5 likely would end up wanting to buy cheaper option and opt to upgrade later on (thanks BC). Especially so if sony can lower ps4 entry price to 199$.

$229 and $279 might be good spots for them too. That's gives them some room for holiday deals when the ps5 is sold out.

PS4 sales will probably climb back up if it got a good price cut. A 7nm PS4 Mini with Flash instead of HDD, maybe download only, push for <£150, I can see doing well.

Halo: The Master Chief Collection is currently the best selling game Worldwide on Steam.
The lift comes after the recent release of Halo CE into the Collection It seems sales spikes will happen with each game added.
If Halo Infinite delivers high quality, could be huge on PC

Funny that CE is what did it for the title, when it has very little difference to the original pc port of the game 20 years ago.
The MCC CE is a good PC port of a One port of a 360 port of a mediocre PC port of a XboxOG game.

its sort of interesting that when we look at the sales of this title, it continues to just keep selling. It does indicate to a degree that they lost their fanbase somewhere along the line.
