This question is for Rediscover:

These weren't the new pics that you said were in Play were they? I am not sure because you said the pictures showed a skyscraper level.

However, this is still under question because a couple of people who have read that issue of Play said there were no such pictures and only the ones that have been circulating around the web. Please respond man! We need to find out if there are more pictures available!

Oh, and it's recommended you go to my link to see the pics rather than just looking at the ones posted on this thread because they are twice the size. That's it! ;)

I wanted to go    but then reality strikes me that KZ is a PS2 game. I will wait till i play it, yeay know, PS2 and its usual hohohaha problems, PS2 screenshots are hmmmmmmmmmmmmmm.....

And you claim xbox screenshots aren't 'hmmmmmmmmmmm....'???
It's more or less the same with all consoles, screenshots from a game in development are always quite a bit cleaner than in the finished game in your telly.
If anything, KillZone's screenshots do not seem nearly as touched up as most.
Of course you can't judge the framerate rom screenshots, but as an xbox gamer (if I've figured out correct) you should know that very well ;)

Because it is a PS2 game?

XB screenshots >> XB game
PS2 screentshots >>>> PS2 game

Those cleany clean PS2 screenshots are highly suspicious coz MOST, and i mean MOOOOST of the time, the final IQ isnt there, at least with Xbox, even with spicy AA/AF screenshots, the final game still retain that sharp, filtered and clean look.

Maybe Lost Boys can do yeay wonders with PS2.

At least the PS2 games usually get the framerate right. :p

Given the last trend of PS2 games, I wouldn't be suprised if the game does look like that. Anything from Konami or 1st/2nd party games had great IQ since quite some time now. I don't see how this should be different?

Maybe you should stop judging games by its platform and what is actually there... ;)

I must say, I'm pretty skeptical and concerned about the IQ... Last time i checked, this game is gonna be field rendered.... :?
Which means JAK2 will look like an XBOX game in comparison, especially thanks to pro-scan support....
And at 60fps (if they get it) the interlacing flaws become more apparent. They always are, the faster the game is...
Still, i'll be sitting here waiting for the game to come out, then we'll be able to comment on it...

perhaps it's time to get some good cables then. I sure don't have those problems you have. ;)

guys good tho this looks so far, if you are expecting MIPmapping/ full FB hten that's just unrealistic. it looks like the art asset are made around some of these issues anyhow

perhaps it's time you get a decent TV.
Monster cables on a pro-scan capable TV: interlaced signal is painful. admit it or not, thats the way it is. ;)

he's right at some higher fps interlace 'tear'/'smear becomes apparent (especially if the framerate jumps for frequently). not enough to pss me off but noticable.
