[360, PS3] Crysis 2

:Faceplant:!

I saw that and it was no stream it was a first priority program running and 360 pad. Anyway I hope that was not higher settings, lack of object motionblur, particle res, texture res etc etc.

Maybe they're struggling with that GI for getting the performance up to snuff, hope the console versions don't get excluded of that feature.

I'd wish they had shown a PC version running at all its glory at 1080 instead of console settings.
But at either settings, it feels underwhelmming to me, artwork and overall design is disapointing, i don't like bipedal units idea, it makes little sense for an alien race who in the previous series had flying/hovering units that had extreme mobility and adaptability and in such a small confined city space they use bipedal or similar exosqueletons, i prefered the old tentacleish flying things as the common alien enemy unit, they just needed a skin rework and some new attack method(s) or weapon(s).
And with the small units they could do some cool scenes with swarms of those units storming the city to help give the player a better sense of danger and urgency with the story events.

Might be something like that. Ofcourse I dont doubt that it is target settings/visuals for consoles and I am sure they will get there sooner or later before Crysis 2 is released. I mean some footage has previously been shown of console version/CE3 and the framerates whas very unstable. Once they sort that out I am sure it will look as the target settings/visuals that they used with the temporarly PC replacement.

Kinda strange the are going to release it earlier just hope they dont release a buggy game just to avoid the shooting gallery that is nov~dec.

Everything does all look like within the capability of consoles but it is a bit deceptive to the console users do you not agree? Why didn't crytek just show the console demo like they showed to the press?

They probably want to avoid unecessary internet "rage" when they know final will run better. Maybe also why what they shown to press has not been allowed to be released to public by participants.

Man that looks good:oops: Is that console version? The game looks better and better everytime i see it.

It's pc version :)

Looks like Mazinger was right (as always ;)) and probably EVERY "360" gameplay they showed was from PC version with console settings (most likely). Only real thing was GDC presentation wich had not so good framerate (and graphics too, imo). They probably have problems with framerate in console versions, I hope they will elimenate it before the launch (if not they will probably cut gfx).

Well...thats a bad thing.I thought they would proudly show of PC version at E3 :D

It's not the same gameplay. Similar, but quite different. GT's version is better :p

-----------

One thing I really like is how much Crytek is pimping their new lighting engine, everything emits light now, like the energy weapons of the aliens. That combined with the new lens flare effect looks awesome.

EDIT: The footage from the Wall street demo, now with sound:

So guys, let me get this straight. Everything the public has seen was from the PC version right? Are there any console footage on the net?

The game is starting to develop a lot of hype. Not surprising given it's high level of graphics which is what drives hardcore hype most of the time. Last I looked it had an extremely high user rating on it's videos on gametrailers too, an indication a broader segment of gamers is liking it. I think it will be anywhere from a big to a huge seller by the time it comes out.
