[360, PS3] Crysis 2

I think the lighting is the same, just different sun locations.
Also, I think the textures are the same, they just haven't loaded on 360 yet.

Some differences I noticed judging by all the comparisons I've seen, is that the PS3 version has slightly better AF and the 360 version is slightly sharper; whether that's because of the slightly lower resolution, or the crappy scaling quality of the PS3, I dunno. Trees and foliage look different and/or are lit differently, too.

Overall, I think they look virtually identical. I do wonder if there are any differences in the water, and also how they perform.

Anyway, I'm glad I kept my pre-order. I pretty much got the game for free thanks to the EA store f'ing up my order.

I wonder how it will look from framerate perspective. I hope DF will analyze this soon.

From what I have seen, depending more of the capture setting than of 'crappy' upscaling... because sometimes are virtually identical, sometimes ps3 appears too bright...

They also declare the 360 version the best looking game on consoles. Cue outpouring of rage from neogaf...

9.5 Graphics
Crysis 2 on Xbox 360 has taken the crown for best graphics in a console game. It's well animated and the effects are great, but light is always the star of the show.

IGN didn't seem thrilled with the multiplayer though, which is a pretty big knock.

(about multiplayer)

At first, anyway. After several months of beta play on Xbox 360 and PC (and about four hours of play with the review build), I can safely say that it has some balance issues. Sniper fire, cloaks, and Nanovision rule the field, and cut down on the Nanosuit physicality and traversal that make Crysis 2 feel different from other online shooters. It's difficult to say whether a strong, long-term community will rally around the game.

Funny, sniping (with the sniper rifle) actually seemed pretty useless to me in the demo...and I didn't see many others doing it either...

Quote:
Crysis 2 shines most when you push the Nanosuit to the limits of what you think it can do, and the best moments come from points where you stop and ask "did I really just pull that off?" Crysis 2 is a collection of sandboxes, some enormous in size, all laid out to provide multiple options for tackling your objectives.

IGN 9.0 360

GN RATINGS FOR CRYSIS 2 (X360)

9.0 Presentation
Crysis 2 folds all of its interface into a slick, elegant in-game solution that draws you further in. The story has holes, but remains interesting throughout.

9.5 Graphics
Crysis 2 on Xbox 360 has taken the crown for best graphics in a console game. It's well animated and the effects are great, but light is always the star of the show.

9.5 Sound
Fantastic sound effects and positional audio are complimented by one of the best orchestral scores I've ever heard in a game.

9.0 Gameplay
Crysis offers a unique play experience that emphasizes clever power usage against smart AI. It plays fantastically well - when it's working.

9.5 Lasting Appeal
The campaign may last as long as 11 hours, and features a new game+ hook. With a fully realized multiplayer mode, Crysis 2 could keep your interest for quite a while.

8.5 Graphics
Crysis 2 looks great on PS3, but a worse framerate, lower resolution, and missing effects compared to the 360 release hurt it. PS3 owners expect more.

Whats interesting is that only the 360 IGN review proclaims such greatness, but fails to mention problems like they mention in the PS3 review. Clearly both have their faults, to mention one and not the other is a wee bit amateurish. Gamespot at least goes into detail about the iffy side of the visuals.

Ah, Arthur Gies...makes sense now. 8)

It seems like Playstation Universe review stirred up the internet.
"The fact it is the best looking shooter on PlayStation 3"

Even more bad... it seem more fanboyish than a serious comparison.

One thing you guys will love about Crysis 2,that GOW III had it going for is the fact that sometimes, some "cutscenes"(they are not really cutscenes) are looking like pre rendered video.Until you move your head with joypad that is
