The footage marked with march 18th is real the one with feb 4 isn't.
The feb 4th is the one Ranger debunked.

Its possible to patch Crysis 2 like GT5 (changing config values to add these features)?

According to Crytek POM will only be added on the PC (via the DX11 patch). Don't know why the scaled back most of the physics/destructible stuff thought they showed in the GDC demos (bending metallic barrels, desctruction of most of the concrete walls etc..). In it's current state you can only destroy an handfull of predefined stuff (and it dosent look procedural at all).

It's ridiclous over there. They are having all types of meltdowns which the likes I haven't seen since I used to be an active member over at the gamespot's system wars forum.

That would mean a complete failure of the entire engine. Seriously, this is just silly. Trying to discern bounced lighting from all these crappy captures (compressed + gamma issues) is a bad idea and should be left to GAF.

Indeed, How anyone can discern the lack of GI from what we have seen so far is beyond me. Remember their GI solution is the basis for their engine.

I thought the PS3 demo was from final code, but CVG (I know, not very reliable) said that the version they played had no framerate problems at all. It kind of gives me some hope that the final release is a bit more optimized.

For me, I didn't really have a problem with the visuals, but the framerate wasn't good.

It played fine for my feeling but there were some stuttering when i played it.
Could be his tv set kinda old low end 1080 lg tv because i could feel a delay in the main menu sometimes.
    Retail multiplayer footage.

One thing that (good looking) video reminded me of is that after I noticed a huge difference in (too artificial if you ask me) accuracy between scoped and regular shooting, the scoped view felt odd. Now I think I know why - the gun seems too far away from your eyes when you hold it in scoped view, and it is difficult to actually see your target. At least that's my experience.

I have played first 3 levels on 360...What can I tell?Well, this is really prime example of "you got to see it to believe".I'm not overhyping anything. This game is by far and above best thing I have ever seen on consoles.Like,REALLY.

IQ is surprisingly better than MP,its really good. There seems to be healthy amount of AF that I could see and AA method works fine. There is no blurring and me sitting ~2 feet from 38 inch screen I couldn't notice any jaggies. It looked very very clean.

Someone mentioned bad textures? No,they are detailed as console with 512 mb can have.
Lighting is second to none, nothing is better than lighting you will see in Crysis 2 and thats straight out real talk.Bokeh effect looks nice, especially when it blurs fire and particles.

In 2nd mission, where there is alot of trees frame rate was lower but when you move to streets it ran very well.Didn't notice any tearing but I have feeling its running at the edge and that there might me some frame drops later in game.

To put this to an end,I'm stunned at what Crytek achieved...I don't know how they did it but wow, they did it...yea...It's that good

Sry I can't go into details since I haven't played it for long, its not my copy. But yea...as I said,it looks really beautiful.I also forgot to mention how beautiful fire and water effects are, really something else.Bokeh effect surprisingly doesn't seem to be low res like for example in ACB(dof). It makes things like particles and fire looks so much better...It gives cutscenes movie like look.

But there is also another thing i forgot and its pop ins.In 2nd levels where there are lots of trees(30+),bushes,grass and other small objects they can pop in,its noticeable I guess they couldn't get rid of that.

Oh,and I was playing on veteran.A.I seemed to be really aware and cautious. They walked around, jumping across cowers and its rather easy to die when you are surrounded by 2 or 3 of them.I suspect super soldier(?) will give people some real challenge :)

I wonder if installing the game will reduce the pop-in.

Was there any destructibility? Like how you could blow up small buildings in C1 and warhead?
