[360, PS3] Crysis 2

How is MP impression outdated? And like I said above, single really is not looking any better IMO.Only difference really standing out is when shooting the barrel which MP didn't have from what I played.

X0 singleplayer footage in comparison to PS3 Demo has better lighting - flares, stronger HDR, much clearer look, better AA, better particles and more and definitely less aggressive LOD, it has also better arm shaders than the demo.

I still dont know how some people can defend multiplayer demos when Pentium 4 3ghz and 9400GT on operating system outperforms it with better settings. Crytek made unbelievable great job on PC, but console version arent just optimized enough.

Wouldn't it be possible to just tweak the configuration? It's not like the console versions don't include the code; it's just not activated. Unless I'm not really understanding the way console games are distributed.

I meant from a performance & resource point-of-view. Disabling the SSGI calculations has implications on a whole range of things, and it'd seem a bit daft to develop the console engine and game the whole time just to disable it. :p

I thought I saw GI in video where you can notice windows from one building reflecting on the other.I doubt they dropped it,thats one of their "flagship" features. Its definitely lower quality compared to PC as Al mentioned.

I was comparing to 360.It looks pretty much identical to MP to me so don't see where this huge upgrade hype is from.

Here some captures.

Oh... just saw that. :| Looks more like a new source of light for the "on".

The simplest demonstration example would have been from the original "A bit more deferred" presentation anyhow, and the video is more similar to the "on" in that presentation (with the bounced lighting behind the concrete barrier instead of just darkness from the shadowmap).

Reflection looks really good i'm at a friends place right now playing on ps 3 version.
One thing i notice is the weapon swap no more has to load in textures.
You can still interact with a lot of object like in crysis 1 biggest object was the oil barrel you can grab every other small object.

Took some off screen shot(1080p tv set) from the reflections
Same object as that gi gif

No GI ? Its confirmed?

It was the main function for CryEngine 3... if true crytek failed on (PR) promises.

Well there's no POM (something that was present in Crysis 1 / Warhead and many games right now).. and most of destructable stuff shown at last years GDC is not in the game either (all platforms).
