[360, PS3] BF:BC2 and BF 1943 online

yea, it's EA's "new copy bonus" that they are doing for most big games now.

love the night map and low light level map... look excellent with a lot of variety in maps and lighting and colors to keep it fresh. nice to see that DICE is going to support this game into the future with DLC maps as well... BC1 was horribly lacking in that dept. but apparently they were focused on BC2 because this game fixes and improves BC1 in every way imaginable.

finished the demo at 48 hours play time :D ... 216/pts per minute scoring.

What pisses me off is that its not just for every new copy, its only for those who pre-order.
So people like me who dont reside in US are not treated similarly.
Also why is it that the PC version gets it fro free eventhough there are no official sponsor for it. [like nvidia sponsored COD4 maps for PC] either make it free for everyone or just make everyone pay. :devilish:

In other news yet again a game is out for sale before launch in Dubai...so my lucky ass friend will yet again be able to play it days before anyone else. {Though I've asked him to ship me a copy :p]

I highly doubt the extra maps are preorder only. Pretty sure every retail copy will come with a code to download this stuff.

I'm pretty excited for this one to release.

yes every copy for the ~first month is Limited Edition copy. I believe the code will be in the box.

Great, love the night map in DLC and for free! :)

I'm picking it up next week but I don't like the idea of having to wait and download a map before I go online. If it was like six months later than that's fine but this launch DLC practice is going to strain my poor 20GB HDD.

Okay can anyone confirm if the 360 version is still A2C in final code or not ?
Cause if its still A2C then I won't buy the 360 version & get it for PS3 instead [I may sound like one big idiot to base my choice on that :p]

Highly doubtful anything will change for the retail versions.

I'm gonna get the 360 version and probably the PC version too.

My friend who has the game since past 5 days told me that there were a lot of people playing it online & hence they already had major rank/unlocks advantage over the people who will play the game from 3rd March. But yesterday EA updated their game servers which caused everyone to loose their stats, KDR,unlocks etc etc.

When I asked what about the stats that gets registered from now on ? he informed me that its not just a simple reset infact now whenever you accumulate points, the game foes on deducts as many points as you earned in the prior game..so for instance if its 650 points is last game then the game will add those 650 points & then deduct 650 again so that the stat remains 0.

picking this bad boy up in about an hour :D

9/10

Bad Company 2, however, is an open challenge to the market leader, Activision's blockbuster behemoth. So let me pin my flag to the mast right from the start. This is the superior game.

Control is crisp, with the heavy stiffness evident in the beta test replaced with a responsive scheme that adds heft to your movements while retaining the agility required to keep pace with the blistering action. It's a lovely-looking game as well, despite some obvious pop-in and repetitive character models. DICE has eschewed the glossy, bloom-heavy look of most of its rivals, preferring instead to craft a world rich in detail and texture, with impressive vistas that wallow in their generous draw distance. Explosions are predictably impressive, but it's their aftermath that brings the world to life. Smoke, dust, sand and water spray all linger in the air.
Bad Company 2's single-player campaign would be a genre standout in any year, but it's online that the game comes into its own. It's no wonder that the box bears the tagline "Defining Online Warfare", since the multiplayer component here is a confident, muscular distillation of everything DICE has been building up to over the past decade. This is the online shooter at its most streamlined, most thoughtful, most exhilarating.

It's good to hear the first games sense of humor remains. I'll be buying this mostly for SP.

Hey no haggard and sweetwater is a no buy for me:LOL:

I have spoiled the singleplayer for myself on youtube, so i can jump right into multiplayer and i have to say dam the first level is awesome you know the WW2 one. It brought back some battlefield 1942 memories:rolleyes:
