[360, PS3] BF:BC2 and BF 1943 online

Honestly, both versions are going to be a blast to play so get the version that you want the most..You can't go wrong with either one..Anyways, the only problem I have with the beta is that it takes an insane amount of points to become a level 3 Private..

LOL, I need 4,000,000 points to level up for a level 3 Private...

that's so nobody will get there during the demo which ends around release day. In game leveling for the full game is much more frequent and with more options than BC1.

you can only be a level 2 max in demo

Haha i knew when i first saw that i thought dam this going to be hard in the full game with 50 levels.
Then i remembered its a demo. Still think they should have let people unlock red dot scopes.

You can unlock it in the PC beta which allows you to progress upto 11th level. I think you need to accomplish different goals to unlock gadgets and weapons as I despite being at level 11 lack several weapons availble to the beta testers.

Yeah, for what it's worth it was pretty easy to level up in the PS3 beta. At some point things get slow, and levelling up the tank abilities is a good deal harder than levelling anything else up.

So you could go higher than Private 2 in the PS3 beta? If so, why the hell is the 360 demo capped so low?

By the way, sometimes the 360 demo locks up at the end of a game. And it doesn't remember your settings if you restart, which is pretty annoying when you hop in a tank only to realize you no longer have the coaxial machine gun. I hope these issues get fixed.

Yeah, having to change my gamepad sensitivity and control layout every time I load the game is annoying.

yea... MS does not allow saving any settings in Demos.

I change sensitivity, brightness, coaxxial & sound (War tapes!)

can hardly wait for the real thing... I must have 20+ hours into this demo (I think that is in my stats, need to check) I often end up in the top 2-3 when in a decent squad (even though I can't speak to them) although running into well coordinated squads I get owned too. If you hit the back button and spot enemies and the m-com crate while in the middle of firefights around M-com you also "give squad orders" and you get points for that. Also when sitting in a tank gunner seat I can spot non stop while killing. Also the Bradly has a sweet lock on missile as the secondary weapon with which to kill tanks from afar. also I love resuscitating people as a medic

As assault on the map last night I took a medic and stood behind the snipers on the hill and revived them as they got picked off--I got a ton of points for that.

I think some people got to like 25 or more. I think -I- got past 10. Maybe 15? And no idea. Maybe the difference between a beta and a demo? A lot of stuff didn't work. Like everyone had the grenade launchers unlocked, but they would get glitched if you tried to use them. Plus stat resets whenever they liked.

One thing I notice in the demo is that Assault dudes don't drop nearly enough ammo packs for other, and Medics don't revive enough. Come on people, you get loads of points for that stuff, and it really helps your teammates.

Ok, well I guess that is the difference between a beta and a demo. So far, the 360 demo is pretty solid. Everything seems to work like it should for the most part.

I think a lot of people are still figuring out how to play. Once the game is out, and people form up in squads, you'll see people doing those things properly. At least they will if you get a bunch of friends in a squad together.

Luckily, I've been in squads with people who understand and know to use teamwork which is an integral part of defeating your opponent.I mainly play as the Engineer as its a blast to fix up tanks while im popping headshots with the Scar Carbine..Im very good with that weapon as I already have over 320 kills and around 105 headshots with it...The sound in this game is absolutely amazing and its even better if you have a decent to great surround sound set-up.. What's your favorite class to use in the demo?

I really haven't played much at all, because I've been playing Mass Effect 2 with the odd game for my NHL club. I really like the medic's gun. Wasn't a huge fan of assault. Haven't tried anything else.

Played this for a few hours last night with Scott.

The Good:
-Sounds are incredible.
-I like the classes are more like BF2 where you drop ammo, medic packs and such
-The destruction is well done and really does change the battlefield
-Emphasis on teamwork. Taking out the death count from scoring prevents KDR whoring
-Giving objectives and teamplay as many points as kills. This is how you do a MP right. When people realize they can get as many if not MORE points from doing the tasks and helping out the team than going for kills, they'll be much more inclined to work as a team. I love this part about the game the most.

The Bad:
-The guns don't feel good. It's hard to know when I'm shooting right or wrong. The cross hairs need to expand/contract to reflect accuracy.
-The graphics look fine until you zoom in or are next to foilage. Then it's nasty.
-Proper BF modes. I don't mind this but I rather play CTF like the older BF games.

The bigget issue right now is the gunplay. The shooting doesn't feel rewarding. It's too random and inconsistant. The gun balance in the demo is also poor. The LMG's are king. They perform better in every situation. The gunplay in BC1 wasn't fantastic either but over time I got used to it. That's not a compliment either. For them to have mass appeal and really "blow up" with this game, they need to get the shooting down better. This is most surprising considering the shooting in BF2 was good.

Overall, I had more fun in this than MW2 MP. I'm a bit burnt out on MW2 MP mainly because there is no empahsis on teamwork. The game caters to KDR whoring. Unless you team up with people you know consitantly, no one will work towards the objective.

I can now usually dominate a confrontation with the Assault from medium range and shotgun in close (but SCAR is nice too) but like you, felt my only chance at first was the Medic MG.

also try burst firing and crouching... both are noted by the game tips as improving accuracy (also practice starting at body and raising to head). Account for bullet drop. I am looking forward to trying all of the other weapons in the full version as well as the perks.

there is so much to this game once you feel in control of your guy (it takes a while to shake the MW2 mindset) that it blows my mind...

God I'm terrible in the helicopter. Both times I've managed to be the pilot I crashed and burned 10 seconds after :l

Vehicle controls are really my only complaint. The fire command seems to be different on every vehicle, and I don't see why it should be...

Agree with most of what Robert said. I do like the game mode in the demo, though it got screwed up in our last game and the entire opposing team quit, except for one guy, and he just sat in his spawn where we couldn't kill him.

The gun play, to me, is good, but the weapons just need a little more balance. That medic LMG completely owns the other guns, or maybe it's just my playing style.

After our session, my opinion of the game went up quite a bit. I already liked it, but the destruction and intensity of the game are fantastic. We were on a few teams where people didn't know how to play yet, but otherwise, when people are playing for the objectives, it can be absolutely intense.

I wish the textures were a little more detailed, the game looked a little sharper and that speckled foliage (Alpha to coverage?) wasn't there. But really, once you get playing, and get into the game, none of that matters. Really well done.

Oh, and the sound effects are absolutely amazing. With my new headphones, the game is absolutely incredible to listen to.

I agree that the LMG's do dominate in the game..Heck, I started to mainly use the Scar L Carbine as the Engineer and I've accumulated over 500 kills with that weapon alone. The guns feel nice but could feel better.
