[360, PS3] Batman: Arkham Asylum

I wanted to ask this from quite a time now...why is it that most of the special editions are ignored for the PC version of a multiplat :?:

Disappointing sales. Many PC special editions ended up sitting on shelves for months on end. There's even been a few I've seen where the special limited editions were still available over a year after release.

Saw this at Blue's news:

Eidos and NVIDIA announce PhysX support will be included in the PC edition of Batman: Arkham Asylum, which will delay the release of the game until September 15 in North America and September 18 in Europe. The console editions are still expected on August 25th in North America and August 28th in Europe and Australia.

Yes, what a great idea: less than a month away from release date and probably less than a week before going gold and having to press some discs they decide to delay for a month to add something that a) could perfectly have been in a patch and b) the engine already has. Eidos must think people are idiots.

No word on if the PC demo will be delayed also.

There's probably a decent side-benefit of avoiding Day Zero piracy.

Just played the PS3 demo (didn't finished it, played until the machine gun guys). The game looks actually very good, definitely makes the most of the Unreal Engine in terms of clever use of art and very clean. Nothing like what the screenshot above made me believe.

The detective mode is great, looks very good. There's lots of voice, and it introduces characters very well. This is not the kind of Batman I am into (i.e. the cartoon kind that reminds a lot of the cartoon Hulk etc.) but the game is very well done, and I think it will do very well, especially in the U.S. ... Whoever was in charge of the art-direction here did an awesome job.

Tried the demo. A good use of ue3 engine finally, tearing is very occasional (thanks to God the preview build is awfully ) and the game not so bad but I found the gameplay, how I can say, too 'trail & rail' in the commands scheme.
