3 new Ghost Recon screens.

ugh...I want to rub those screen shots inapproprietly...

Looks very nice...but i'm wondering why some of the lighting in the screenshots look like their about to get abducted by aliens...

One thing to keep in mind about those cars, I'm guessing that the Novadex physics will allow them to flipped over from large explosions. So while the graphics are a step up, the interaction of the enviroment with bullets and bombs going off everwhere should make Ghost Recon 3 a very next-gen experience beyond just the image quality.

get ready for that to happen alot . The lighting with hdr looks odd in stills but looks really nice in motion. It seems like the sun is shining down and reflecting off the glass of the buildings and the sand stone brick making things overly bright

I think thats the PC version

edit:
Infact, thats what the site says :)
Update by Blimblim: These are shots from the PC version, and it looks like it's missing a few features from the Xbox 360 one, especially the graphical filter that gave the game that soft look during E3. So while these are interesting images, keep in mind that the version we'll get should look quite a bit better.

Are de E3 videos prerendered? Because the E3 videos are a lot better than this screens.
you think so ? they both look similar to me . alot of the lighting is lost in stills . But otherwise they both look good

I thought the E3 bideo was much better as well, as soon as I saw these I wasa little dissapointed, they were missing something.

Then I read the link about it being the PC version, and not having that filter that made the E3 demo so "soft", and it all made sense.

judging by the amount of geometry on screen, my guess is that the graphics were originally built using the oldest Alpha kits which used Radeon 9800 cards. of course I could very well be totally wrong.

just a thought.

I agree that the E3 video/screenshots looked better than those PC shots.

these shots from the PC version, as had been mentioned....... Blimblim said they are from the PC version, .. and also notice the 4:3 ratio of the shots, compared to the 16:9 ratio Xbox 360 shots

The PC version being developed by GRIN in Sweden is using different engine than the Xbox 360 version. I think some art assests are being shared even though the engine technology is different.

I will 3rd that. Not that the PC pics look bad, but the *quality* of the rendering is an obvious step below. Similar, yes, but definately not the same wow factor.

Of course a PC version has a lot of legacy (it will need to support SM 3.0, 2.0, and maybe even PS 1.0 / 1.4) and most likely wont use any IHV specific features like 3Dc. Not to mention the game will be designed to work, at a minimum, on DX9 cards starting with the 9500 / 5600 series. So those are a lot of limitations that the 360 version--if it has its own engine--wont be tied to.

Everything you've seen up to today has been on an alpha kit. Beta kits were just starting to filter out after E3. You probably won't see any beta kit footage until X05 (and you'll also see a few surprises there...).
