Airbus A380 Landing Tests

Whoa, its kinda weird but that massive aircraft almost looked light in that video. The crosswind being able to move it like that is really crazy.
 
You can see how they glide it down diagonally to compensate for the crosswind and then they straighten it up in the last few seconds. Look at the wingtips bend as it touches down in the slow-mo. Totally bonkers.
 
All those major airplanes have computers that calculate their trajectory more or less on the dime, its about as safe as you can ever be.

The only dangerous moment is on takeoff (where say both engines have to fail for their to be a big problem), once a big plane has altitude and speed they can survive jsut about any catastrophic situations you can imagine.
