Yakuza 3

Just finished Yak3. It was great although IMO I still think Yak2 had the best story.

Some thoughts...
Last boss fight was way too easy. Found the Fuma battle harder. Had all these weapons left over.
Love Revalations... hated Chase sequences.
Loved the starting Orphanage missions.
The death of Rikiyua(spelling) was really sad. Saddest moment I've experienced in my gaming life. (never played any FF games)

Finished Y3 yesterday and got 4 in the mail. Probably gonna wait a while before I start, but the UK Steel box was really nice!

Felt really sad when Mine got the phone call in the end, kind of hoped for better ending for him....

While the Yakuza series is a proverbial sales juggernaut in Japan, it is slowly gaining sales steam in the rest of the world. This is evident in Sega's recent announcement: The Yakuza series has shipped more than 5 million copies worldwide. The publisher also announced that it has shipped 400,000 copies of Yakuza: Of the End, a zombie-themed alternate story based on the long-running franchise.

Yakuza 5 is now officially in development, but creator Toshihiro Nagoshi isn't saying too much about it. Sega's Yakuza series press conference earlier today was mostly devoted to outlining the formation of the Nagoshi's new studio, Ryu ga Gotoku Studio (named after the Japanese name of the Yakuza series), and the announcement of Yakuza Black Panther 2 for PSP.

During a group interview session with the press that followed the event, Nagoshi shared a few high level comments about Yakuza 5.

Exclusive Look At New Characters In New Yakuza: Dead Souls Trailer
http://blog.us.playstation.com/2011...-characters-in-new-yakuza-dead-souls-trailer/

You may have heard that Yakuza: Dead Souls is coming to PlayStation 3 in March 2012. Like Yakuza 4, the game will let you play as four characters, including two never-before-played fan favorites: Goro Majima and Ryuji Goda. It’s a Yakuza experience like none other, because this time, you’ll be fighting a horde of blood-thirsty zombies.

Finally finished Y4! Liked the bit when you have to climb the tower as Kiryu, felt a bit like the tower in Shenmue 2 (although not nearly close as awesome as that was) and the ending was pretty bonkers. Still, I am not too excited about Y5 or Dead Souls. The side stories feel so cheap compared to the main story, and the main story is often pretty retarded. Said that, new faces like Akiyama and the cop really made the game better, but it wasn't enough of an evolution. Also, what will happen to Asagoe now that Kiryu is back in the business?
