Xbox Originals (TV programming)

Yeah, Halo Legends and Forward Until Dawn. Also, there is Pulp which was released last month.

Then there is Extraction which Live users got to see first, which was in conjunction with Sony's own Crackle.

And the Alan Wake web-series... Bright Falls?

An extra 5 dollars on manufacturing the GPU can end up costing them hundreds of millions at the end of the generation, and very few customers can actually see the difference. That money is much better spent on more content, especially if it can be leveraged across multiple platforms

Reading the articles they appear to be doing this fairly strategically, in order to keep XBOX owners eyes on the XBOX in periods where interest in big game titles has waned. The actively state that they will be scheduling content during these periods and they must have a very good understanding for usage patterns from the Live data captured.

Note, some of the content will already be on standard TV outlets; one series is co-produced by UK's Channel 4 so will air on that channel as well.

Hm...why don't they use this money to make an interesting game title for this period instead? Or something crazy: use this money to finally make a killer app for Kinect (independent od the actual period)?

Seems like a waste of money to me.

TV

TV

TV (sports)

(Still no Kinect stuff, even though it would be possible to do some really cool TV + Kinect fusion stuff. Sigh x 1000)

Who the hell do I email to tell MS the kind of Kinect + Cloud + TV stuff they should be trying?

They have everything they need to try some really, really innovative things but what do we get? Fucking TV.

Fuck.

This industry sucks.
