WOW crazy new Kameo pics

Rare really did a good job porting this title. I cannot wait for their first title designed from day 1 with the 360 in mind... of course, with their record, that game may not come until the Xbox 720! :LOL:
 
thats probably a giant forcefield or some sort


i love and hate those screenshots.. i dont know whats wrong with them .. hmm

looking forward to see them in action

That and noticable aliasing. The banding effect is from whatever FX they are doing... intentionall maybe? If it is runningat 60fps it could look different (strobing?) But the aliasing, while slight, is noticable in certain areas. I would have thought 4xAA would clean that up (of course they could be running 2xAA).

Arent the bigger pic blown up? I'm sure they're above 1280/720 res, in which case the game will surely look cleaner when running at the resolution it's intended to run.
The lack of proper lighting kinda bugs me though. The shadows look bad, and there is no selfshadowing of any sort.

Shadowing is on thing i still have to see the X360 doing properly. Surely a software problem, but so far the realtime stuff on PS3 seems to have perfect shadowing, or at least better than the X360 i've seen. Even PGR3 still has that awful pixelisation in the shadows.
 
nice pics, looks somewhat like serious sam2. while the textures and parralax maps look good here, the game lacks implementation of softshadows and self shadows. which i reckon should be the bread and butter of the next gen. but then again i guess it's a cartoonish style so they wouldnt be that important.

btw, can people just link to the pictures as a url instead of posting the pictures (if they are huge)? :neutral: I want to read a thread, not wait for it to load. ;)

Yes, specially that second pic. I thought it looked OK..for xbox that is. not to forget the just awfull ground textures in pic 4 and 5.

It's that warrior-vision-zen kinda matrix thingy...

When you're really good you can do combo's in slow motion or something.

haha great point :D BTW totally agree if port from previous gen looks so good how will be looking games design only for X360 :?:

Right click picture > properties : size = 1280x720. They're native 720p screens.

Aliasing is apparent. Would we not be seeing Xenos based pics now? I right curious about the lack of AA in XB360 pics! They've had Xenos for a month now haven't they?

I'm not sure true lighting is needed for the cartoony style. It's something I've noticed missing but i don't think it impacts on the images. I like the way Kameo is shaping up.

That effect is the bullet time effect they've implemented, when you get enough points you go into slow-mo and you can string together a bunch of combo's, looks pretty fun
 
Things are never good enough for some poeple, some poeple really are going to be let down by next gen graphics if they think everything is going to look like the killzone demo. IMO Sony has given people unrealistic expectation for 95% of games that we will actually see.
