Personally I find the knock out phases go along to slow & the group stages too quick, a better format(*) would be

4 groups or 6/7 teams, top 2 in each go onto quaterfinals

(*)better because
1. Fairer (this should be obvious)
2. No teams knocked out so early, eg england basically were out after 7 days in brazil!

When I first started watching the WC I hated Robben because of his constant diving, but now I have come to respect his diving.
Why you say, well it is because:

1) He admits doing it.
2) FIFA doesn't seem to give a shit.
3) He has mastered the craft and earnt his team many penalties, exploiting FIFA's nonchalance.
