I want to reformat my hard drive and re-install Windows XP Pro, but can't because I lost my CD key. Do ya'll know if there is anywhere on the computer to find it? I don't want to use a keygen, because this is an official copy I have. Do ya'll have any suggestions?

Try the properties of My Computer. i think the first pages shows the serial. Might be a registry entry.

Yea, it's not the cd key.

Should be somewhere in the registry, like the guy above said.

I thought they deliberately hid the CD-Key to stop users of a computer getting access to it when they might not be authorized to.
