What are you playing now? (console edition) [2011 - 2017]

Moved to a new place, need to buy an HDTV and set up internet. Still have an SD CRT, but can't be used with the eighth-gen machines.

Halo 3 single-player FoV in 4:3 with overscan. :nope:

Wasn't such a problem in 2007 when I usually had a coop buddy, split-screen lets the game render at a healthy 92 degrees.

Motor for the disc tray on my oXbox also stopped working recently. I "have" a second oXbox, but it hasn't worked at all for about 6 years. I think it's about time I learned how to do stuff to things.

I'm too much chicken to play Alien alone, so to keep me over, I've delved into the world of Diablo 3 reaper soul! I like it a lot! Have a monk at level 31! Anyone else playing Diablo?

I have to admit, I'm as much a diablo virgin as one can be.... so your post reads a bit like hieroglyphs to me. :p What is T6 and Grift?

And your psn-id? :D

PS: It's a pitty there isn't a console topic, I think. Are we the only two people playing this here?

I'm going to start Last of Us Remastered today. I didn't play it on PS3. I have too many games to be played, I still have my Xbox One sitting unopened in the Box since November... On PC I have about 20 games waiting to be played also. I try to finish Last of Us and Sunset Overdrive in the next two and half weeks before I'll go to Thailand for 26 days on a holiday. Then I'll be in Finland for six weeks before going to USA for a month... Maybe I'll sneak in Dragon Age Inquisition and Shadows of Mordor to those six weeks :)

Ha ha, sorry!

T6 is Torment 6 difficulty, the highest difficulty you can choose for campaign, bounties and rifts (unlocked when you finish the game once I guess).

Great Rifts (Grift in short) have a different dynamic, which I'll explain in a second:

You play bounties first (here difficulty settings matter). During playing those, you get yellow rift stones.

In your hub location, there is Olek who stands besides an Obelisk. Activate the Obelisk by putting in a yellow stone: this opens a rift gate.

For rift, the difficulty matters. You kill monsters until a monster-kill-meter is 100%. Then the rift guardian (a boss) appears. Kill him and go back to Olek (or what this blue guy is called) to get your reward. When you play at Tornament 1 or higher difficulty, the tift guardian drops an orange rift trial stone (with an infinity sign on it).

When you have such a trial stone, activate the Obelisk with it to start the trials: several waves of mobs appear which you have to kill in a given time. At the end, you get a orange Greater Rift stone with a number in it. The number indicates the level of the Grift. The better you are (the faster you kill), the higher is the number on this Grift stone.

Now use this Grift stone to activate the Obelisk to open the Grift gate: it is similar to the rift, but two important differences: the difficulty depends on the Grift level. You have 15 minutes to fill the monster-meter to 100% and kill the boss monster at the end.

The bosses drop legendary gems. These are super powerful. You can level them up after beating a Grift boss (three tries per Grift, chance depending on actual level of the gem and Grift level).

Here comes the clue: if you beat the Grift in time, you can choose if you want to upgrade your gem...or take a new Grift stone with a higher level (the new level depends on how fast you finished the Grift).

Rins and repeat :)

I have to look up my id...it is Billy Idol or something like this

Maybe you can give me your psn id...during my playtime, I get a lot of presents for my psn friends, which I can send directly in game over...maybe I also find stuff for you :)

PS: RenegadeRocks plays as well on PS4...

Dragon Age and I suddenly seem to be finally falling in love with it. and for all the hate for Hinterlands, I enjoy there a lot :p
the only thing is that the whole setup, the beautiful world, the dialogues, everything seems very pretentious and trivial. Nothing to be taken seriously.

I finished Dragon Age a few days ago and really enjoyed it. Put in well over 150 hours but still missed out on a few acheesements.

I'm already jonesing for DLC. Just a small hit would do, you know, just a quest or two to keep me going. *shakes*

I managed to nab Lords of the Fallen in the XBL sale while it was reduced, along with Trials season pass and Sniper Elite all for the grand sum of £22.78, of which I only pay half (digital sharing).

Really not regretting going all-digital this gen.

I finished Last of Us today on normal difficulty. A bit late to the party, but that was an amazing game pretty much from start to finish! Some brutal moments in there... Very good story and pacing, very well made in every aspect. I've always enjoyed Uncharted series, but this was just on another level, but still got me more hyped for UC 4 and what comes after that.

Found some amazing duck content as well and I'm sure everyone is dying to see these :) The last one was just a nice scene.

I bought the MCC with the Xbox Ultimate sale, so plan on playing through all the campaigns on Heroic.
Also, still playing Killer Instinct Season One (Ultimate complete edition was not a good enough deal for me) until a price drop occurs. Who else here is playing KI...need some friendly competition (non ranked).

YOu bugger, you did that Deus Ex thing to me....now I have to finish my replay on the ps4 :D ! finished it twice on the ps3.

Damn, I got no time for The Order and then Bloodborne, what with my Dragon Age and Wolf hanging midway and Metro waiting to be completed. Also just found a half price copy of ACUnity. Feel like buying that too, though I have no idea if its even worth it. I am gamer mess :p !

Dying Light which I've only sunk about 3 or 4 hours into, mostly wasting my time. Assassin's Creed Unity has just arrived, though. :runaway:

Played a bit of DoA: Last Round. Still a fun fighting game. Also surprisingly pretty. The exceptionally poly-rich characters really shine in 1080p. The new "softengine" (which is really just another word for Tecmo's sub surface scatter approach as far as I can tell) gives everyone a sort of latex-y, doll-like appearance. Doll-like as in those creepy "real dolls" that is, except somehow it rally works for the game and all the characters look scorchingly hot (I know a couple of gay guys who've really taken a shine to Jann Lee, so apparently it's not just working on straight dudes). The game also goes crazy in the particle effects department.
All in all it's a nice, fan-servicey fighting game with a story mode that's bordering on the physically painful. The visual upgrades, minor as they may be, are noticeable and definitely appreciated. Despite its last-gen roots, DoA is still a considerably more accomplished visual package than the latest Tekken 7 footage is hinting at so far.

I've also been playing DOA5LR on PS4....its basically the same game i played vanilla and ultimate on PS3, the graphics and everything are the same except slightly less noticeable aliasing due to 1080p res. Kokoro is my main and she's really doing well for a Mokujin-ish style character. Those cow tits are annoying though.

The models are still pretty good, but the stages are just even more painful to look at in FHD. In DOA6, they really have to overhaul basically everything at this point, everywhere you look is low resolution lifeless grey or brown textures everywhere, not flattering.

Just finished Wolfrnstien and boy what a game it was ! And a Fab end, wonder what they will do for the sequel , for I do want one. I love the way they tell the story, almost tarantino like. Loved it. Would have replayed it but need HDD space for the Order so deleted it.
If Guerilla Games cannot find thier KZ2 confidence back , then this and Resistance 3 is what I want them to copy from, not COD please.

@Billy Idol, thanks! I've been away lately, but will definately add you! My PSN ID is "conceptics"

I just purchased and downloaded Super StarDust Ultra last night. Meh. What a disappointment. The sound (music) is terrible and overal, very low and quiet. At least most PS4 games have a more or less consistent volume, but this game is far to low, which is quite a pitty, since it's one of the things that just made the old one a real blast. Other than that, the game plays well, but perhaps I've just outgrown it. Custom soundtrack would definately help to overcome the bad music though. :S
