What are you playing now? [2007-2018]

Yeah I've contemplated that tactic but it just seems a bit cheesy to me.

I've been playing the Forgotten Hope 2 mod for Battlefield 2 lately. Version 2.4 was just recently released, and like all the other releases, expands with a generous amount of new content. The focus of the new version is the battle for Europe between German and American forces in the later parts of 1944 and early 1945, and the huge variety of weapons and classes available to both sides most certainly reflects that aspect nicely.

I highly recommend it, especially if you're itching for a more realistic BF2 experience where it's mostly one shot, one kill but not so ridiculously difficult and complicated like Project Reality.

It's hardly run of the mill. It's certainly unlike most other city sandboxes and there's much less focus on action.

A while back I won Just Cause 2 and Mafia 2 in a TechReport screenshot competition. Mafia 2 doesn't run so great on my comp so I'm saving it till I upgrade. JC2 looks absolutely incredible and is really fun for the most part.

Also playing Witcher 2 like everyone else, and BFBC2 remains my one true love.

No link to said screenshot?

JC2 is a great pick up and blast for 30 minutes game for me to this day, looks lovely in stereo3d too.

Currently playing Terraria and loving it. The missus and I got a bit bored of Minecraft and thought we'd give this a go. It's marvellous. I thought it would just be a crappy clone but while it has elements of Minecraft it's it's own game for sure. We've just got gold pick-axes and I've today crafted and drank my first Spelunker potion, which was awesome. I now have a chest full of lovely ore and gems! :p

Where Terraria beats Minecraft hands down is that there is actual stuff to do... quite a lot of it actually. you can still piss about and do what you want, but if you want to dig deeper it's there in spades.

Bouncing between Dead Space 2 and Duke Nukem, although I'll probably stop playing Duke soon as it's not that great of a game. Dead Space 2 on the other hand is badass so far.

I'm behind the curve a few years and last night picked up Fallout 3 with Pahncrdi Fallout 3 Enhanced Edition modpack. I think I should leave playing good games a couple of years after release more often as then I'll surely have good enough HW to turn everything to eleven and get all the awesome user modifications to make the game best that it can be :)

I'm really into Dead Space 2. Big fan of the first one and really enjoying this one as well. Such a perfect engine design for the atmosphere of the game.

Reading your post reminded me that I hadnt finished it (stopped playing it about a year ago)
so i loaded up my last save and soon found out i was 2 minutes away from the end :(

FO3 is PoS compared to the first two games. It even manages to look worse than the predecessors, by being drowned in the plastic "next-gen" look.
