Real-time cutscenes ??? :runaway::runaway::runaway:

I can spot aliasing so it's pretty much confirmed!

If I remember correctly, not all animations were FMV in original games. Some were ingame, some were FMV. But I could be wrong. Someone needs to check out these scenes on PS3 [and Gamersyde needs to give us directfeed trailer :D].

Actually this trailer is all cutscenes and i know most of these were FMVs, if you look closely you can see shimmering/aliasing in those videos (not insane amounts, just the expected @ 1080p) so i believe these are real-time, which is the only thing that makes sense if they are using the current ND engine for this remaster, which they are according to ND. It takes more effort but the guys at Bluepoint are awesome for doing this, there's nothing better than doing them all real-time as it saves space so they can fit into one disc.

As far as I remember, cutscenes in past uncharted games had aliasing even when they were pre-rendered, to keep some consistency.

this trailer shows how a big step up is uncharted 4, because even with enhanced graphics, this remaster is still far from it graphically.
Anyway here is my chance to play this trilogy !

I'm perfectly fine with 60fps cinematics. Hopefully they converted many of htem into in-engine state, I don't like moments where there is a clearly visible transition from gameplay to "FMV rendered in engine but everything looks a bit crappier" or "looks close but bit better looking than gameplay".

This trailer also showcases how good were U2 and U3 on PS3. Now they are unleashed from the chains of 720p30, low res shadows and other smaller limitations. :)

if they do all the cut scene in real time that would be amazing, We can swap out all the Elena U3 model with U2. Probably won't happen though, they game will most likely be on 3 single layer bluray discs. 24 gigs per game is probably enough if they use HVEC.

Whoopie just saw the gamersyde footage. Yo can see the pores on the skin of Kid drake :runaway: ! ME wants so bad !
The bummer is that there is aliasing, even if very teeny weeny and only in some scenes, but there is !

God damn UC2&3 are gonna be lookers with the updated graphics and red bump, can't wait to pimp out some photomode shots in the snow and desert.

By the looks of it even Uncharted 1 will be a looker, i remember some areas looked really good in the first game

Digital Foundry tested the framerate of the trailer.

It has just a single scene with drop to 59. :D Can anyone remember, was that scene realtime on FMV on PS3?

hope they also add object based motion blur and SSAO to U1 on top of better skin shaders to the characters model. Rest of the tech still hold up very well in U1 even today.

This collection is going to make me sit on RoTR until next year. These games are so good and scratches a similar itch without all the animal killing (which I got from FC4).

It wasn't for Fallout 4 I think The Uncharted Collection may only want Rise even more - the new Tomb Raider is looking really gooood

Good third person shooters are few and far between. I'm determined to finish the collection (EU launch 9 October) before Fallout (EU launch 10 November) which is 5 weekends - not that I get to play weekends much, nor weekdays either. I still have Arkham Knight to finish and Dishonoured Definitive Edition is out next week. My gaming 2015 schedule is not going at all to plan and I blame Witcher 3 which was insanely huge.

There's no time for Tearaway, Mad Max, Halo 5 or Just Cause 3.
