How do I access the beta? I have the collection installed.

Does it show up ingame?

I think it's in the overview tab of the Uncharted collection, you apparently need a save from the collection as well. It should show up in 8 hours or so.

Two maps are included; the island stage first shown at Paris Games Week, and another set in Madagascar - a marketplace you'll know well from the single player demo of E3 2015. As promised, we're getting a native 1600x900 output in multiplayer (while single player runs at 1920x1080), but what's especially striking is how its competitive mode's bid for 60fps has improved since our last hands-on.

Labeled Beta 1.03, the new build runs significantly more smoothly compared to its Paris Games Week showing. Previously, the island map in particular was prone to moments suggesting more optimisation work was needed. Physics-based destruction left parts of scenery floating midair, and we had a sustained bout of stuttering in a spot that, to that point, ran without any issues. Otherwise, all signs pointed to Naughty Dog designing a superb competitive mode, deserving of its place next to the solo portion.

Dithering sample points for blur makes sense. Allows for wider 'apertures'. Just needs a tweak with the source blend.

Beta is extremely good looking on my end. Game plays so smooth as well!

The jungle map has almost no aliasing problems, it's very clean looking. Haven't played the other one yet.

Played both maps:

- Loving the new Elena ;-))
- Matchmaking is/was rather slow. Saw they had some initial problems.
- Smooth and good looking graphics. The city level is also very clean in terms of aliasing.
- Liking the helpers and artifacts you buy during the game when earned enough money. Specially the machine gun guy with heavy body armor.
- It's actually a fun MP for me.

Well, we already knew about the VJNCHFTAA. :p

Wonder what the order of their post-chain is like - if they can do the radial blur after the post-AA?

Compared to the SP footage, maybe they've scaled back the number of samples (or anything they do to hide it) so the jitter is much more egregious in MP.

The AA in this game is god tier. It's extremely stable/clean both in motion and when stationary. The only real drawback is the jittering from all the temporal shenanigans going on. In motion it looks really good though. And if it's that good at 900p i am looking forward to what they'll do with a native 1080p.
