The smoke, fire, explosion and anti aliasing are top notch. Il like modelisation and facial animation too. And it look like Madagascar, they nail it...

Naughty Dog are just so amazingly good at edge of the seat action. I was on the edge of my seat and leaning this way and that just watching it. So many games have vehicle chase sequences but few stand out. This is one of the ones that does by a mile.

Lots of great details and some tricks seen in the first reveal Trailer of E32014 like the water droplets when Drake is hanging on the grapling hook. Or the mud being deformed when he is under the car. The deformation looks like the same in the reveal trailer. Hope to see a higher quality video because the youtube footage is so compressed.

Trully amazing showcase of top of the line rendering techniques in the fully PLAYABLE scenes. ND are the best.

I'm willing to bet explosion/smoke/smoke at the final wreckage are all pre-calculated effects. They are using fixed camera angles for those scenes, so they only need to calculate HQ explosion from one viewing angle.

I have also spotted their temporal antialising effect in action @ 14:16 mark in the YT video.

Non-interactive particles/geometry in a tightly controlled scene where user cannot even fully control camera... yeah that fire is not calculated in real-time. There is no need for it to be.
I thought I recalled Order 1866 having some flame bits.

Still, it does look nice. TBH, I really like how the smoke looks poofy @ 12m mark. Just really great overall @ 1080p.

I cant really recall many games that had proper physics based interactive fire. Even the non-interactive fire effects were mediocre in other games. So considering this thats still some pretty good fire.
Probably only Deep Down may have truly interactive fire
