I would probably quit playing Uncharted altogether if they got rid of Drake, his character is utmost importance to the enjoyment of the game, the sense of humor, charisma, bantering, imperfection and down to earth-ness are what makes this franchise so special to me. I can't wait to see how they would push the forth one to new heights in terms of conveying emotions and character development.

If you're that talented a developer, you can create something great and new as well.

^Nobody is going to kill Drake. Chill. Ending a story simply means ending a story arc. It will feel like a closure, just like MGS4, maybe. Why would they kill him? Its not as if he is Kratos and needs to die for his atrocities ! he can even end his story by settling down for good. something as simple as getting an injury while saving someone important, which puts him out of adventuring for good.

"Funny" mass murderer :/

dunno they will keep that formula for U4 or try to justify them a bit more.
I can't see them tinkering with the formula too much in terms of the balance of enemy numbers / exploration / climbing / puzzles but I think, from what they showed at PSX, they'll give you more options to evade or engage in non-lethal takedowns which may reduce the number of deaths. This would put the kill count partly in the hands of the player.

Personally the kill count never bothered me. It's a pulp action game. Drake is the hero and the hero kills the bad guys

How much time happened between the events of Uncharted and TLOU? Perhaps Drake will make an appearance in the next instalment of TLOU as a crazy old survivalist with a can do attitude...

I never understood the "mass murderer Drake" complaints tbh.

I mean, Lara Croft probably has been blastin fools, and causing mass extiction of numerous different endagered animal species, and no one seemed to bat an eyelid.

Drake makes a wise crack after shooting some pirates/mercs and suddenly he's an evil homicial sociopath?

I mean, do these folks not understand the concept of suspension of disbelief?
