Ubisoft On a Defense Against EA

Hopefully the shareholders won't give in to EA's potential buyout. Consumers do not want to see one mighty publisher, we need others to be creative and compete.

IMO, Yves Guillemot says it best that "We are in a business of creation. We need to keep the creativity and that is the value of the company."

Ubisoft needs to remain independant from EA if people like me don't want to make nothing but sports games and film titles.

I wish UBISoft picks up Dark Sector.

That's one of my most awaited games actually, if they can get the gameplay good that is. The sector engine looks like it has some promise. I like how the suit deforms and stretches rather than looking like a wooden puppet.

Yeah me too. I think if they go down the stealth genre ala SC in outerspace, it shouldn't be too difficult to make the gameplay interesting.

Have i missed latest updates on Dark Sector? Cause the last time i saw it (the HD video going around on the net), it didn't look too hot.
Nice but definately not on the same level as the best on X360 (still GOW to me)...

Dark Sector does indeed look pretty sweet. I seem to remember reading some interview where they said that it'd be 'fast stealth' though, and that you'd be more of a Wolverine than a Sam Fisher (which is fine by me, tbh).

Yep kinda like playing as Grey Fox from MGS less the samurai sword with some Metroid-like powersuit options thrown in. The cool thing I like about Dark Sector other than the graphics is the mix between human enemies and machine enemies.
