Trailer from Naughty Dog

Naughty dog said a texture on any walls is comprised of at least 9 separate textures. That's how they look so sharp.

I certainly haven't seen those (not that that means anything). Some I think are very reminiscent cos they seem to be grabs (or not) from the recent Gamer's Day trailer.

That chick sure looks manly.

I think that was from an older build that Game Informer got to see earlier this year, Elena has undergone a transformation to her new Gamers Day looks in the most recent trailer, her nose has changed and her hair is now longer and parted.

Not that I'm going to get my rocker on or anything but that's good to hear.

This is what she looks like now:

Could still play a convincing Robin alongside Batman. But that's probably a good thing, adding some variety to the tired femme's of computer games. Some people do like that. Why shouldn't they be represented in games? Why's it always gotta be supermodels?

I think everyone should be quiet about it, because it's getting old.

"Ottsel"- if thats her nickname she probably has a nice fur.

As much as Im excited and curious about this game I still hope their next game will be a J&D Game.

Are you talking about the Jak and Daxter "Ottsel" reference?

I want them to concentrate on Uncharted and make it the absolute best franchise on the PS3.

They won't make another Jak and Daxter game ... Someone else probably will though. Naughty Dog shift franchises each generation. Crash Bandicoot made way for Jak & Daxter, and Jak & Daxter will make way for Uncharted.

They've only had one generation before to shift franchise! That's hardly enough to set a trend. Now I think better reason to think J&D won't reappear is dev comments that they choose games to target hardware performance. Spyro was the style they could work with on PS1, so chose a game to fit that. J&D was the game they felt fitted PS2 the best. With PS3 ND feel they can get more of a real adventure going, so, at least in their first outing, have gone that route. And having create the technologies and tools for Uncharted, I'd expect at least one sequel. But if they are successful, ND might try and emulate Insomniac, running two franchises consecutively and covering different markets.

Insomiac did break with their past tradition( Spyro->R&C->Resistance->R&C), so there is hope for J&D too.

I really liked the varied locations and mixed styles in the J&D games - Uncharted will be some kind of semi-realistic environment which has more constrains than a pure fantasy-setting (both on environments and enemies).

It's true, they have the potential with certainly some overlap between what the engine requires. However, Naughty Dog have been making comments like these all over the place:

IGN: All of your PlayStation One games were Crash, and all of your PS2 titles were Jak and Daxter. Does that mean that we can expect to see this IP as your running series for PlayStation 3?

Wells: The technology that the PlayStation 3 provides is definitely what inspired us to create this new IP. The next generation of hardware opens up to us new opportunities in terms of the experiences that we are able to produce. Each of the franchises that we have created in the past has been specifically tailored to the hardware that they were released on. We have every intention of this game continuing that evolution of franchises.

I want Jak!!! :devilish:

Seriously, I love what they've achieved (technically), but I'm really not excited about playing this at all. Maybe if it was from a different developer, but I really want a cartoony platformer from Naughty Dog!

I want Jak too.

But unfortunately there are signs that point to --> No Jak. Which would be a shame; esp. if you look at what Insomniac are doing with R&C.

They have got form for dropping characters each generation. I was outraged when they dropped Crash, but Jak was much better.

I liked the style of Jak, being able to walk around doing nothing if you wanted, starting missions when and if you felt like it. That is what I will miss (as I cannot see Drake's being like that).
