Trailer from Naughty Dog

if those heads are ingame, it will surpass crysis.

Quite obviously, those aren't ingame shots. Your pretty standard HDR image based lighting + some sort of GI solution (probably final gather) + probably some SSS shaders.

He kinda looks like a cross between Col. Sheppard from SG: Atlantis and the guy who played the King in 300. :p

Having seen the trailers part of me cannot help but pine for a return of Jax and Daxter (or at least another game from naughty dog with the same sort of structure to it).

I don't think you will be able to wonder around Uncharted trying to get hard to reach tokens and it appears that the game will be far more driven/linear in it's nature.

Not to take anything away from Uncharted mind you as it looks great.

Screen Grab, the texture work is stunning

Heres a equally stunning .gif

The animation on the second enemy is the most realistic ive ever seen, he goes from the "falling into water" animation to the "being shot by shotgun" animation completely seemlessly.

Mod:
Don't image tag animated gifs. Url tag them!

Even though the animation is really awesome, I hope they seriously add some splashing water, because a man falling like that in to a water would seriously splash some serious water there. Its only a small nitpick but it would make it perfect.

They said in the 1up show that only a third of the final number of animations was in this build. Take that as you will ...

Splashing water would be an effect rather than an animation, I think. I'm not sure about splashing water, because it's never much good. Now we have these convincing, transparent, distorting, reflective waters, to have a white sprite cut across it as a supposed splash is just as unconvincing as no splash, but with the added annoyance of ruining the realism of the graphics. Not having a splash (other than waves in the water already there) leaves the visuals unmarred, and unless they get something convincing, I'd prefer it as is.

Appartenly the splashing in Genji is very good.

I guess we won't be seeing really good splashes until Hydrophobia.

But yes I'd like splashes....they can make it look good.

For me uncharted's water is shader effect based because not waves at all or simple surface effect...I want lair's dynamic water in uncharted please nd
