Okay Dig, new twist.
Let's say one spouse in a no intimacy, no sex marriage winds up working with someone every day and finds a strong bond forming. This "other person" becomes their best friend...they "fall in love" as it were.
No sex, no kissing, no "infidelity" but hearts are lost.
What's the difference between that and sex? Isn't it equally, if not more, of a betrayal?
Sex without love is just masturbation with company.
Love without sex is still a surrender of the heart.
I've always figured I'd rather my wife, if she had the inkling, have a romp than give her heart to someone else. In some ways I think "infidelity" is an infraction next to emotinal involvement.
Funny. Sex can mean everything if the heart is in it or virtually nothing if its not...at least IMHO.
